This place is amazing! The resort gave a real good feel of a vacation. We spent 6 days in Cancun but only a day here, a decision we wish we could have changed. Would have loved to spend more time here.

The rooms are good. Functional and beds are nice. The things that stood out are the super clean waters and the snorkeling areas right at the resort. The food was amazing. We are vegetarian so the chef was able to make some accommodations and make us some very nice burritos.

The staff here were very welcoming and hospitable. A lot of folks helped but special call out to Kevin, Adrian and Nancy for helping with everything here.

Would recommend the place for a very nice vacation.

Mia Reef has the most beautiful beach but is in desperate need of updating and repairs. The noise level is high in the rooms since the doors aren't sealed off, (must not have safety rules for fire). The Italian and Mexican restaurants have the worst food I've ever had at an all inclusive. Luckily there are good restaurants in walking distance. The town is very safe and Miguel Hidalgo Street is full of great bars and places to eat. We loved Lola and Ocean's Restaurants and ate at one of them daily.The wait staff could not have been nicer. When you first arrive you get badgered by the sales person to go to the breakfast so they can give you a 2 1/2 hour sales pitch for timeshare, Super annoying! Could be an amazing place with some updating and better food.

Mia Reef did not disappoint for our family. We enjoyed the food, entertainment and staff immensely and the made our vacation more comfortable and enjoyable for sure!! Our 3 year old loved the isolated access to the ocean and pool! Nancy, Andrea and Kevin were wonderful in accommodating or needs as we had multiple reservations. Much as Gracias Mia Reef!!

I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Mia Reef Isla Mujeres because staff stole all of my cash from my wallet, which was packed away in my suitcase in my room. This completely tainted what had the potential to be an enjoyable experience.

When I reported the theft the staff began to victim blame. They told me this was my fault for not using the safe, which was frustrating. I eventually received an apology from a manager after speaking with three different people. Although they said they’d do a thorough investigation, I was departing this day and no resolution was offered to make up for the theft.

Aside from this incident, the restaurant staff were very friendly, and there were fun activities throughout the day and into the night. The food was generally good, though the Mexican specialty restaurant wasn’t my favorite (still decent). The omelets in the morning were a highlight. The beach was beautiful, but the King’s Pool was closed the entire time due to bad weather. The Wi-Fi didn’t work well, and our balcony and front door was cracked, causing a constant whistling noise from the wind, which made it difficult to sleep.

While I would have recommended this resort for its activities, location, and its beauty, I cannot do so after this experience. Theft by the staff is absolutely unacceptable. The lack of accountability was deeply disappointing.
