It is an interesting place, but the waiting time is really long. You need to be very patient and have time to come here because even when they serve your food, the waiting time is long. The food tasted good but not fantastic. I was expecting a little bit more. But the corn soup and the tacos were the best. The drinks are good. The servers are so nice, I have no complaints with that, but my only observation is none in the kitchen or the servers with the long hair tie their hair, or wear a cap to hold their hair, and I found a long hair in my soup, they are so nice and they changed my dish but after that simple mistake my experience was ruined.

We had high hopes for familyfriend as we heard it was the place to get a good smash burger. We expected a long wait for a party of six but after being told it would take 30 minutes to get a seat, we checked back in once it was time and were told it would take longer. We decided to go somewhere else down the street when they ended up calling us back and said there was outdoor seating. Our server was helpful informing us about the menu and providing suggestions of what else to order.

From the time we sat down and got our orders taken, it took almost an hour to get our food and service didn’t provide many updates on the hold up so that was a let down.

We liked the corn soup and I was able to substitute the mac salad for extra rice on the fried chicken plate. The flavor of the chicken was delicious and it had a thick crust. The only thing was that because it was extra crispy, the crust separated from the chicken entirely. Still good, it probably could do with less batter/crust. The smash burger was decent but I wouldn’t say it’s the best we’ve had in the Seattle area— especially for the price, portion and long wait!

We had such a lovely evening with great service, wonderful food, and a cozy atmosphere. The burger was so good! The drinks were super creative! Really enjoyed our experience and can't wait to go back.

Solid 3.0 stars. Not bad but way overhyped. Came here because this restaurant was featured in New York Times. Our meal was fine but mediocre at best. Maybe it’s getting more publicity because it was Guamanian but there is nothing unique about this restaurant.
Corn soup was good. Tastes like corn, coconut, and garlic.
Burger was good but tasted like an elevated Dick’s burger. Not worth the price or hype.
Fried chicken was a letdown. Wayyy too much breading. Mac salad tastes like the boring macaroni pasta with mayo. I can make that at home and I’m not a good cook.
To top it off, wine list is horrendous. Just don’t offer wine if you’re going to offer such bad wine.

Popular Beacon Hill Restaurant did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their variety of food and drinks.

I tried the Smashburger, and true to its name, was an authentic smash burger, perfectly flavored beef with a nice soft bun. The shoestring fries were crispy and heavily flavored with truffle oil. I'm not a fan of truffle, but for those who do... You'll enjoy.

There was a queue of people before it opened on a rainy Sunday evening. With full tables, and happy crowds, it was quite loud inside. They do offer outdoor seating as well.
