We had the Christmas table (Julbord) and it was absolutely fantastic! I was looking for a place that offers a Julbord with a twist to it since I find the traditional one rather boring. This was exactly what I was hoping for:
One could recognise the structure and classic dishes of a Julbord but with different, wild ingredients as well as several new dishes.
It was worth every crown and I am looking forward to coming back to try the regular menu!

I loved the place! First, so welcoming and fun people working there, I greatly appreciated a small talk. Second, the meat was just perfect. Everything is well balanced and well presented, nothing to add 👌

I absolutely recommend this place if you're in Gothenburg. First of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful (they explained everything about the dishes and the ingredients), and the food was an absolutely brilliant experience. We were offered bread and butter as a starter, which was very tasty. We wanted to try something local and peculiar, and this restaurant certainly had what we were looking for: we tried the venison tartare, the venison fillet and the boar steak and they left us speechless. The venison is soft and literally melts in your mouth, and I particularly enjoyed the combination of boar meat with nduja and tomatoes. I cannot thank the waiter enough for reommending those dishes to us.
I must say they didn't feel too expensive as the quality was very high.
We'll certainly go again if we happen to visit Gothernburg again!

Upon entering, the rustic yet modern decor immediately set a cozy, welcoming ambiance. The menu is focusing on seasonal and locally sourced game meats. I started with the croquettes on wild boar, which were a revelation. These crispy delights were filled with tender, flavorful meat that melted in my mouth. For my main course, we chose the venison steak, and game burger with dirty fries which were exceptional.
The service at Pivo stood out for its professionalism and warmth. The staff was eager to share their knowledge of the dishes, contributing to a more engaging dining experience.
Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience.

We had an amazing date night there with customized menu matched with suitable wine and great personal service. Nice ambiente as well so please visit and plan for having a wonderful time.
