Absolutely the best pastrami I’ve ever had! Though this spot is touristy indeed, the quality is also unmatched. We arrived around 10am on a Saturday and there was no line to enter the diner. The dining area is spacious and charmingly retro; you order at the counter with your deli ticket, find a seat, and might even end up in the famous spot from When Harry Met Sally!

Remember to bring cash for your visit. The price is on the higher side—$30 for a sandwich—but worth it for the experience in my opinion. The bread isn’t as impressive as the pastrami, but the overall meal makes up for it. The complimentary pickles are also a nice and refreshing side.

As you can expect there is a line, but I can tell you that it is worth the wait. I was worried that I was going to be disappointed by the hypes surrounding the food. I can absolutely say that it was the best pastrami I’ve ever had. The pickles were amazing as well.
Our cutter was Tony, and he was very personable and asked us about our time in New York while he was preparing our food. He even threw in a couple of extra pieces of bread since we were getting it to go since obviously the sandwiches are huge. I highly recommend at least trying their thousand Island dressing. I was simply amazed at How good it was.
You have the option of going directly to a cutter to get your food to go or go into the back to be seated. There’s also another line for sides if you plan on getting food to go. They give you tickets at the door that the cutter or the person providing the sides will Complete and you will pay on the way out. The line is long, but it moves pretty fast considering what it looks like when you get there. It took us about 35 minutes to get inside and it was 3/4 of the way down the block.

This is not one of the most famous Delis in New York for no reason. Their Pastrami Sandwiches are out of this world. We tried both with and without cheese and the cheese option was our favourite. Let the pastrami take center stage and only add some mustard if you like, I personally think that it’s a good addition. The meats are spectacular, and the portion is quite generous. We also tried the Brisket Sandwich and the Corned Beef Sandwich. Both are really good, but the Pastrami is the real deal.
You will get a ticket per person at the entrance, and they will write down there your consumption so you can pay at the end. You will be asked to show all the tickets before living the restaurant.
The atmosphere is fantastic, and the line was not that bad during our visit, we waited less than 15 minutes. If you are a movie lover, don’t miss the spot from “When Harry Met Sally” I really hope you have what Sally (Meg Ryan) had as we did.

Amazing experience at this great deli. It was super busy when we went and the queue was round the block, but it moved quickly. We wanted to watch our meat being cut so we didn’t opt for table service. We ordered one pastrami sandwich between the two of us which was more than enough. It came with pickles too. Safe to say it was the best pastrami we’d ever tasted. Cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth. A must do whilst in NYC!

Worth the wait! The line was down the block but moved quickly. A true New York experience - we will come back when we visit again. The pastrami on rye is outstanding! Huge sandwich and the pickles are great too.

När du tror att detta är en turistisk plats, förmodligen är det, men ändå är nödvändigt att smaka denna speciella mat eftersom inget liknande är bättre. Det var ett av våra mål för vår resa till NYC, och det gjorde ingen besviken. När vi kom fram var det en lång kö längre ner i kvarteret, men den rörde sig snabbt. Platsen är alltid mycket trångt, men väntan är inte för lång. De gav oss en biljett vid dörren (missa det inte! ) och efter 10 minuter, de eskorterade oss till vårt bord. Vi åt deras berömda pastramismörgås, som vi delade mellan två eftersom portionen är generös. Det var riktigt gott, och köttet var mycket saftigt. Ett måste.

Jag var lite tveksam om att gå till Katz's och tänkte att det förmodligen finns bättre värde alternativ i New York men trots folkmassorna och priserna måste jag erkänna pastrami smörgåsar är helt utsökt. 
Vi hade 2 smörgåsar mellan 4 av oss och var uppstoppade gå ut genom dörren. Platsen har en riktig NY - vibe till det och det är definitivt värt att överväga för en rejäl lunch.

Detta är bara en av de platser du behöver uppleva. Vi anlände runt 11 : 30 och linjen var hela vägen ner i kvarteret... men den fortsatte faktiskt röra sig och inom 20 minuter var vi inne. Det var galet upptaget. Du kan gå till disken och beställa och hitta en plats, eller så kan du ställa dig i kö för att få plats i den del där du beställer med en server. Eftersom vi var med vänner och de ville bli serverade, det är dit vi gick. Så vi tillbringade ytterligare 10 minuter i kön och sedan satt. Vi beställde kycklingnudelsoppa och Rueben med pastrami. Soppan var utsökt men vår Rueben kom med majsbiff istället för pastrami. Inga problem, det var fortfarande hög med kött och läckra. Vi hittade bordet där Harry och Sally hade den berömda "Jag ska ha vad hon hade" erfarenhet. Jag är glad att vi kom och upplevde Katz.

Jag har inte så mycket att säga som inte kommer att ha sagts i tusentals recensioner redan så jag ska bara säga detta: visst, det är lite dyrt, men pastramin på råg med senap och pickles är otrolig och det är en fantastisk upplevelse också, med Service och dela ett bord med främlingar (i mitt fall en mycket vänlig kille från Kentucky) och all beställningsprocess, etc. Och om du inte bara vill rawdog det och räkna ut det när du kommer dit skulle jag säga att det är väl värt att googla beställningsprocessen! Några bra guider både för det och rekommendationer för vad man kan få om man är osäker på vad man vill ha, och jag är glad att jag gick för pastrami och glad att jag dricksade min skärare för att få några pastrami offcuts medan jag väntade!

Maten var bra men personalen var oförskämd och aggressiv - vi trakasserades av personalen som försökte lura oss att betala $ 50 för en saknad biljett som säkerhetsvakten stal. Vi fick 4 biljetter, vid avresan blev tillsagda att presentera dessa biljetter men var omedvetna om denna regel så presenterade 3 biljetter och frågade om vi kunde ha en minut att leta efter den 4: e biljetten. 
Chefen blev då extremt aggressiv, oförskämd och anklagande. Vi visade sedan upp den fjärde biljetten för att få veta att de bara hade 2 när vi gav dem 3 , vilket gjorde det klart att de hade gömt vår tredje biljett i ett försök att lura 50 dollar ur oss. Tack och lov fick vi dem att se vår poäng men andra kanske inte har samma tur

Gick med min bror. Jag fick en pastramismörgås och han fick en corned beef sandwich. Vi delade dem så att vi båda kunde få en smak av varje köttval. Pastramin var överlägset bättre av de två.

Hela processen, från att vänta utanför, till att beställa, till att hitta ett bord, till att titta på de olika kändisbilderna på väggen, till själva maten är en upplevelse. 

Smörgåsarna är enorma, jag skulle definitivt gå för en halv.

Har alltid älskat Kat’s mat, så jag gjorde en onlinebeställning som present till två vänner. Betalade 15 dollar för frakt. Ska skicka spårningsinformation när den skickas. Jag skulle anlända imorgon. Ingenting. Ringde, lämnade meddelande, mejlade. Ingenting. Kommer inte att göra detta igen. Dålig kundservice.

Tjock - skuren, saftig, rökig pastrami staplad mellan mjukt rågbröd... varje tugga känns rik och tillfredsställande. 
Var beredd på långa köer och ett premiumpris (cirka $ 30 för en smörgås) , men upplevelsen är absolut värt det. 
Om det är första gången du besöker New York, förtjänar denna plats på din matlista.

Mycket upptagen, hög energi, och den bästa pastrami jag någonsin har haft. Så mört och inte alls trögt och segt. Om du inte gillar pastrami kommer detta att ändra dig! Bra coleslaw också. Mycket rolig upplevelse. Man måste se det så här för att inte svimma när man får räkningen. Väl värt det!

Vi gick och åt lunch och kom dit tidigt på 11-tiden, då undvek vi vad som skulle bli en kö ett kvarter lång. Vi valde också sitta ner servitör service. Kyparen var uppmärksam, pickle brick och vi kände oss inte stressade. Bästa Pastrami någonsin. De andra objekten är ok/bra. NYC deli institution= ja, bäst i staden = ännu mer forskning att göra.

Beställde online! Hade problem med beställningen när den kom, ringde kundtjänstnumret och skickade flera mail ingen någonsin ringt tillbaka! !
