Excellent food, consistently phenomenal service, and nice and upscale atmosphere. I'm a big fan of the focaccia pizzas. On my most recent visit, the octopus salad (pictured) was spectacular. It's now become my reference point for how octopus should be cooked - tender and non-chewy on the inside, a little bit of char on the outside. Even their less expensive wines are delicious, and the servers are engaged and knowledgeable. One of my favorite places in Southport, and worth going out of your way for.

Coda di Volpe is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. It's become a regular go-to spot among my friends and family for pretty much every special event we have. But I sometimes just like to pop in, sit at the bar, and enjoy an espresso martini or two (which is the best I've ever had).

All my visits have been nothing short of outstanding. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warmth and professionalism that sets the tone for a lovely experience. The ambiance is always lovely, but my favorite time to go is in the summer, when they have the windows open and you can feel the warm breeze coming in.

Special thanks to Taariq, who always goes above and beyond to make guests feel valued. It’s rare to find such a personal touch in today’s dining scene, and it makes every visit feel special.

The menu is a delight, featuring seasonal pasta and pizza that are always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you're here for a casual night out or a special occasion, Coda di Volpe delivers every time.

Great food, atmosphere and service. The pizza and pasta were so good -very comparable to pizza and pasta in Italy. Our only regret is we didn’t order more food! Oh and I had orange wine. That was interesting.

Walk in dinner no reservation, sat at the bar. Had the tuna crudo, a bit spicy-soupy for me. Enjoyed the Chicken Diavola, great flavor and friend enjoyed a pasta dish all with a couple bottles of wine. Service was excellent, woman at the bar tries too hard…

We ate on the patio and brought our dog.  The service was beyond great.  The food was the best outside of Italy we have ever had.  Nothing less than amazing.  We decided to make an afternoon of it and tasted everything we could and shared.  Nothing was less than perfect.  We highly recommend the true Napoli style pizza.  We sampled 2.  The meatball sub was crazy good and very generous in portion.  We really loved the caccio di pepe was light and balanced perfectly.  I don't think I can eat pasta anywhere else again.  The Italian chopped salad had plenty of artichoke and amazing olives.  We didn't add protein but will next time.  We stayed for cappuccino and dessert.  Based on the season we had the caramel apple Gelato and apple crostada.  Both were good but we prefer the Gelato.  We will be their new best customers.

Jag gick henne med min dotter och hennes familj och restaurangen tillgodoses de små barnbarnen med smörade barn pasta och tranbärsjuice i barn koppar med söta sugrör. Servicen var utmärkt. Min dotter fick en jordgubbscocktail och min son - i - lag och jag fick glas vin. Vi beställde en baspizza med röd sås och mozzarella och barnbarnen delade på lite. De vuxna delade också en ruccolasallad, majs och tryffel arancini (läcker) och Maccheroni e Pece (pasta) . Maten var mycket bra eller bättre.

Träffade en vän här på middag på en vardagskväll. 

Området, Southport Avenue, är en stark butiks- och kvarterskorridor, så även på en veckonatt var det livligt och roligt, liksom restaurangen. 

Vi hade en bra upplevelse på restaurangen. Det har härlig inredning och känns som en hipp stadsdel anläggning. Servicen var välkomnande och vänlig. Cocktails var utsökt, och det fanns ett trevligt vin urval. 

Menyn är upphöjd italiensk, med en tung dos skaldjur, förutom pasta. Vi började med ett par goda förrätter. Det blev då en lång försening före huvudrätterna. Vår server märkte detta proaktivt, och chefen kom över för att be om ursäkt och erbjöd oss en gratis runda cocktails - - det är så restauranger bör hantera sådana saker! Våra förrätter anlände och var perfekt förberedda. 

Sammantaget en trevlig upplevelse. Jag skulle gärna återvända.

Vi kom hit för en tidig middag på en lördag eftersom de har bra gluten - gratis alternativ för min celiaki flickvän. Som förrätt delar vi upp en glutenfri margarita focaccia bröd/pizza. Jag är säker på att det kunde ha varit en måltid på egen hand. Min flickvän njöt av gluten - gratis pasta också. 

Jag åt superdiavolapizza. Ursprungligen tänkte jag inte köpa pizza men jag såg att de är rikskända och att allas pizza runt omkring mig bara såg så bra ut. Den var fantastisk med en tunnare skorpa och full av smak. 

Servicen här var utmärkt. De var mycket uppmärksam och snabb att lindra eventuella farhågor om gluten kors - kontaminering. Min flickvän kände sig mycket säker att äta här och det gjorde för en härlig dejt kväll.

Besökte restaurangen på lördagen för middag och hade en riktigt hemsk upplevelse! Började med deras cocktails och de serverade oss en med Chili Bitters! Tyvärr blev den inte rörd så nästan kvävd med en explosion av Chili smak! Sen beställde vi den grillade bläckfisksalladen! Bläckfisken var bra men salladen hade röd chili i sig och var extremt kryddig! Argula och Prosciutto Pizza var bara OK och vi hade Tiramisu som var fruktansvärt! Riktigt söt och en fryst sort som man kan köpa i en livsmedelsbutik! Badrummen var förvånansvärt smutsiga med toalettpapper över hela golvet! Musiken är hög och samtalet bullrigt... svårt att höra över bordet vad din partner säger! Dyrt på $ 50 plus per person för en pizza middag! Ännu en kvarterskrog som inte kan ta emot lördagskvällspubliken!

Pasta var gott. Små portioner för priset och chockad på en syditaliensk restaurang utan BRÖD. Det bästa med måltiden var pulpoförrätten.

Fantastisk mat och service! Vi firade dotterns examen och möttes av personliga menyer där hon gratulerades. Så fin gest! 
Vi var sex personer som delade på tre pizzor och en focaccia, räckte gott!

Drinkar och tiramisu var också till belåtenhet! Ett bra val!

Denna plats är fantastisk och jag redan kan inte vänta med att gå tillbaka för en annan middag upplevelse! Jag säger erfarenhet eftersom servicen ( tack Jack! ! ) var underbar och maten är utsökt! Platsen är vacker och det finns roliga sittplatser inne och på uteplatsen. 
Vi beställde följande artiklar: Arancini Primavera, den hackade italienska salladen, Bucatini Cacio e Pepe och en Margarita Di Bufalo pizza. Det fanns inte en munsbit kvar på någon av tallrikarna! Rekommenderar starkt denna plats!

När vi besökte familjen i Chicago valde vi denna restaurang främst av misstag eftersom den var belägen nära våra boende. Denna avslappnade men väl utformade restaurang förberett utmärkt mat som serveras av en extremt uppmärksam personal. Vår grupp av tre delade en aptitretare, pasta och pizza, och splurged på en extra gelato och sorbet till dessert. Vi har haft allt vi beställde. Sätt denna restaurang på din lista över platser att äta i området Lakeview! !

Hade hört många fantastiska saker om denna restaurang och blev inte besviken över inställningen (fantastisk utsikt över pizzaugnen från borden), maten (pizzor var stor) liksom den stora personalen.

Kommer att behöva komma tillbaka från brunch någon gång eftersom det får utmärkta recensioner från vänner.

Våra vänner bor i grannskapet - - tur dem! Servitören rekommenderade passionfruit-spritzer som mindre söt än Aperol-spritzer och konstigt nog hade han rätt!

Service perfekt, väder perfekt, företag perfekt. Maten var mycket bra. Vi delade den speciella pizza - stor tunn skorpa och kryddig paprika. Andra hade pasta som de åtnjöt men jag åtnjöt grundligt den vackert förberedda bläckfisken och en gudomlig arvtomatsallad. Allt var väldigt färskt och helt enkelt förberett. Lätt att ta vegetarianer här.

Bara svartsjuk på att jag inte bor i grannskapet. Lätt att komma till från centrum - - röd linje till brun linje och få kvarter promenad. Definitivt kommer tillbaka.

Vi har verkligen haft denna restaurang i närheten som erbjuder god mat i en avslappnad, familjevänlig miljö. Vi har haft Ricotta Bruschetta med Sweet Corn Ravioli och Salsiccia. Jag tycker att en uppsättning på 275% på vinet är lite, men verkar vara den pågående hastigheten.

Som du kan se har jag varit här förut för att njuta av min familjemiddag. På den tiden fick jag min familj att äta ute på en av sina trottoarbord. Den här gången hade min familjefest på fem en 6: 30-middagsservering i hällregn så vi satt vid ett fint bord inne mycket nära huvudentrén.

Jag började med min vanliga stulna vespa cocktail för $ 12. Jag har också haft min stulna vespa förra gången. Några andra cocktails var $ 14. Jag har också haft min skaldjur spiedini special för $ 32. Jag avslutade min middag med en andra stulen vespa. Min familj tyckte också om deras middagar här som vanligt. Vi var alla överens om att återvända hit igen till middag på en trevligare solig dag.

Min totala fakturan var 218 dollar mindre gratifikationer. Jaxson och hennes server i träning rymde snyggt vårt bord. Vi kommer tillbaka här.

Maten var inget särskilt. Jag åker till Italien vartannat år och älskar maten del av den erfarenheten. De fyra av oss hade middag där: 3 aptitretare och 4 förrätter - inte en av oss var "imponerad". Priserna är inte super dyr men definitivt inte billig. Vi samlade alla varandras mat. Universellt avtal: Det fanns ingen "pop" på någon av de 7 plattorna på vårt bord. Tjänsten var stor. Därför 3 stjärnor i stället för 2 stjärnor i min recension. Vi såg murad ugnsstil pizzor på andra bord som "såg bra ut". Men då finns det så många bra pizzaplatser i staden att välja mellan och vi såg det som mer av en finare matmöjlighet. Jag kommer inte att gå tillbaka. Jag tvivlar på att någon annan i min grupp kommer att vara en upprepning heller.

På ett ljust hörn med utsikt över trottoarbord, ger den stora främre baren ett matsal med några mysiga banketter. trä och högklädsel håller bruset nere och belysningen är tilltalande. Vi har haft vänlig och professionell service och en bra flaska vin. Standout diskar var näsravioli och en karamellodino dessert.

Jag är bara kär i denna plats.
