the concept of DIY-breakfast is so fun! We can choose from >3 dishes. I ordered 5 dishes cost 119k because all the menus are tempting😆 I can say the pastry all good, brioche with bacon and cheese, very good! I heard from a friend about this place and came at around 7am. I was surprised to see a queue had already started forming. The wait for a table took around 10 minutes. There were quite a few houseflies buzzing around though. I picked out 5 items (119K). Notably I enjoyed the cinnamon bun. This wasn't too sweet and it was fragrant. I also liked the breakfast burger as it tasted very much like a quintessential breakfast burger. The sauteed mushrooms are also very moreish. I wouldn't recommend the scrambled eggs or avocado as they were pretty average. Overall I thought the food was a bit pricey for what was on offer.

La Baracca in Canggu was a fantastic find, highly recommended by our Italian friends—and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, offering a true taste of Italy right in Bali. The paninis during lunchtime are especially great value for money.

The service was excellent, with friendly staff making the experience even better. The decor is simple yet genius, with creative touches like old colanders as lampshades and beer bottles as flower vases—it’s both quirky and charming. The chairs upstairs could be made more comfortable though.

What makes La Baracca even more special is the lovely story behind it—friends who came together to bring their favorite Italian food to Bali.

We recently visited Canggu, Bali, in August/September 2024 for a holiday and stumbled upon this charming little Italian restaurant—not once, but twice! The place is a hidden gem, offering an authentic taste of Italy with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. What stood out to us was the extensive gluten-free menu, which was perfect for my wife. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and genuinely Italian, from pasta to pizzas and more. The service was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better. Not gluten free 😓
First of all, my boyfriend liked their pizza, he does not have intolerance. I have. I ate a gluten free pizza, they said it can contain traces of gluten. Usually I do not have any symptoms, my stomach can handle. But here were not just traces, I had bad stomach for a day, just before and during a hiking day 🤪
Take care gluten free friends ☀️
The people are very nice there and they had a little appetizer before our food, which is nice when someone is hungry 😊

This was an absolutely marvellous dinner!! The food is on point, it genuinely tastes Italian. We had a pizza and ravioli and some cocktails, we loved it! We also got some bread with some dipping sauce and vinegar on the house as well as limoncello shots. I would recommend it 100% if you’re in Canggu!! :)

Absolutely love this place!

I’m not quite sure where to start. If you’re worried about food safety in Bali, this is the place to go. They’re well-known for their high-quality food and are a reputable restaurant. The staff is very professional and well-trained, and the food is of excellent quality with fresh ingredients. The flavors really hit the spot. The menu is solid, and I only tried their reds—great selection of wines.

I love the atmosphere here, whether you’re looking for casual dining, a cute little date, a family outing, or a girls’ trip—you must give this place a try!

It will be a highlight of your Bali trip.
