Take the stairs down one floor to enter a quaint, french-inspired restaurant with old-school posters and decor. Most importantly the food was good and value for money! We ordered the Lunch "Bistrot Set" (2,500yen), Chicken roast spice sauce was delicious and the Duck roast black pepper sauce was presented beautifully. We upgraded one of the desserts to the peach melba which to our surprise was made with Japanese peaches (not the canned kind). The service ended with coffee and tea, a delightful meal indeed

The food was as expected but not exceptional. The price of the set menu was also amenable and not too pricey.
The service, though, was not as i expected for a french bistro. Servers were not as attentive as I'd like them to be. Since it was our anniversary dinner, picked out the oldest and most trusted bistro in Osaka. Unfortunate, but nonetheless we had a good time.

Small, modest French restaurant tucked away in the side streets of Shinsaibashi/Namba. For the price and location, I think this wasn’t bad - you can definitely get better tasting French food but the price tag would be a little higher. The lunch set includes appetizer, tea and dessert with the main (chicken/fish/pork or beef with extra charge). I don’t think there’s a lot of choices to pick anything besides the course menu though, but I enjoyed the soup, and the chicken. It was interesting and tasted good, although the sauce on the chicken was slightly too sour for me. The dessert (creme caramel and Mont Blanc) was also quite good.
The service was fine, everyone was courteous. However it is a very small basement shop, so you have to walk down stairs (not accessible), and also the tables are extremely close together (not a great feeling of privacy). However, I would still revisit again! Worth trying for sure.

With the amazing lunch deal sat at ¥1600 for an appetizer, main, and dessert with coffee and bread, it can’t be beat for very innovative and well done French food.

As with any review, take anything I say with a grain of salt and go try it for yourself. I have read terrible reviews of great places and the other way around. Every spot leaves a different impression on every different person. These reviews are helpful of course, but not always correct. Go have a look and see what’s out there!
