We have breakfast today at Sum of Us and had the Avo Bacon Toast, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The combination of flavors was spot on, making it a must-try for anyone who loves a hearty breakfast. The coffee was equally impressive—rich and full of flavor. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great meal to start their day!

I created a new group of customer Success leaders based in UAE and we had our first meetup here , there is free valet for 2 hours and after which you will have to pay 15Aed per hour.

The cafe is very cozy, good for an evening out, food portions were great but I and a few people didn’t like the coffee blend  , we got Spanish latte which is usually sweet, but this one here didn’t go to Spain 😂😂.

Staff and very nice and on this particular day, the toilets were unbearable but the reason by the cafe was the sewage from neighbor restaurant was bad hence the stench, was difficult to spend more than 2 mins in there.

And by the way they close early, it was a Friday and they close by 9pm, which was sad as we had to leave earlier than planned

I was so happy/lucky/relieved to find this spot  in my travels.

I should have got all 3 names I feel bad, Esther will know if anyone there asks her who else it was that gave me such kind and incredible service.

This is the kind/style and type food /juices and smoothies I eat and make at home and I was so tired of hotel food. This was exactly what I needed.

The staff too! There are many of course. But the first evening I stopped by those 3 in particular. Esther and 2 others were just so amazing it meant a lot and was like seeing friends even though I had never met them. Sum of Us is lucky to have them.

I miss this place already and so does my stomach that is not liking hotel restaurant foods.  I am in a different part of Dubai now and can’t walk there as I was doing. I would go every day if I could. I dined in twice and even took some to go for my dinner the next day too. lol

But I have already started to spread the word to others. And just wanted to write this to actually shout out those 3 the most! 🥰

As well as show my support for others to try it. Dubai needs more healthy spots like this!  I’m sure there are. But they are a bit harder to find.

Atmosphere is great, service is excellent, but the food was a disappointment. We had the veal Benedict and the mushroom Benedict which were tasteless and served on a dry croissant, which honestly did not match well! A sourdough toast or any toast would have been much better.

Just my favorite place to get breakfast. I’ve been always a fan of eggs Benedict for breakfast but their Bacon Avo just hits the spot. It’s technically not an eggs Benedict because it has no hollandaise sauce. but I’ll choose this one because of how well composed and balanced this dish was. I got a cappuccino but I was just okay for me — I really prefer a holder taste in coffee and this was just midway there. Lastly, staff are fantastic. Friendly and pleasant.

Bottom line: I will drive all the way to DIFC just for this Bacon Avo.

Bonus: One of the few places in the city that offer free water. Well done!
