A large and beautiful historic restaurant. The staff were extremely welcoming and spoke excellent English to make us feel at home. Food was delicious. I would have liked the option of wine by the half bottle rather than by the glass but that was the only niggle.

While staying in Florence with another couple, I made a dinner reservation at Sabatini. We were seated in a cozy back corner next to a unique room filled with plants, which we could see through a window by our table.

For dinner, my husband and I ordered the vegetable soup, salted cod - Sabatini style, salad, and tiramisu. I absolutely loved the soup, and the cod was even better. In fact, we both agreed that the Sabatini-style cod was one of the best dishes we had during our time in Florence!

However, I’m giving this experience three stars for two reasons. First, there were tiny gnats flying around and occasionally landing on our plates. I’m not sure if this was due to the rainy weather and the door frequently opening or because we were seated near the plant room.

Second, the service was very slow and inattentive, which was quite disappointing.

Despite the poor service, the food was exceptional.

Hands down the best dinner we had during our stay in Florence. The restaurant kept its original allure, cozy and elegant. The tables are big so even if it’s two people you’re very comfortable. The menu is traditional, enough options to choose from and good portions. The wine list is beautiful but I would have preferred to see also the provenances of the wine in terms of regions. The service was excellent: Alessio took very good care of us, he was very professional and attentive, he made us feel very well looked after. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or if you feel like treating yourself for a dinner you will not forget.

One of the very few restaurants that are still serving proper food at 3pm.  In fact they said they served till 11pm.  I was expecting tourist fare but it exceeded expectations.   The atmosphere is very nice and the service excellent.  You can enjoy without being rushed.  The prices are on the high side for what they served.  10 euro for the black tea was exorbitant.   However if you are looking for a place for a very late lunch and you want to still be able to enjoy in a nice place, this is it.

We had a fabulous meal here last Thursday. The waitress was helpful with recommendations and extremely attentive, the food was incredible - the best we had during our stay. The flambe steaks looks amazing - we were sorry we were too full from the great pasta and Tiramisu to try that as well. Reasonable prices, lovely people, would highly recommend
