We were initially given a smaller room with 2 single beds and with worse view than the one we had booked and we were told that we were given "a free upgrade" (when it was actually a downgrade!). After we complained we were eventually given back the original rooms we had booked which were satisfactory. However the girl at the reservations was lacking basic courtesy skills.

We stayed 4 days and also for the new year eve dinner/celebration at Vinterträdgården. The food quality (and quantity) was subpar for the price (2400sek/person). I guess this was probably due to the hotel owners/managers having invited half of the attendees for free (as friends/personal contacts), as it was revealed by the main singer at the event, and we had to pay for all the free-riders, resulting in a dinner that was not at all worth the price. The band left at 23.15 and we were left with prerecorded music for the rest of the night and the change of the year. Simply ridiculous!!

If the managers do not stop using the hotel to cater their friends and start putting more emphasis on their paying customers, we will not visit Högis again.

As a sidenote, the hotel is advertised as having a spa, but there is no pool.

If you are lucky… northern lights may come! On top it’s a great choice for bringing the kids and conviniente with the ski sloops right on it! It also has a small Ica Toppen around premises and stays 10/20 min for other bigger ski places.

Veryyy nice hotel to stay. One of the most popular one. Have a nice lounge and a small Casino area. In the evenings it looks so nice with lights and in between snow. Definitely recommend

This is an overall good hotel. The entrance is sadly not automatic, which would be convenient, considering the heavy luggage you'll probably be bringing to such a place. The lobby is nice though with a cozy lounge area. The rooms are nice and clean, though a little bit old. There are some minor problems such as the TV not being centred on the opposite wall from the beds, and the shower struggling to keep a steady temperature. The power outlet was also not directly to the side of the bed and for some reason like a metre away, but otherwise, the rooms are nice. The breakfast buffet is nice and there's a lot to choose from, and the quality is okay but not the best. The gym is for some reason not free of charge, which it should be in any hotel, but most people won't mind. There's a cinema here, which is awesome, but the scheduled showing times are few. The are also some restaurants, skishops and cafés nearby aswell as a supermarket. The location of the hotel is nice for those going cross-country skiing because the alpine skiing there is really bad. If you want to go alpine skiing you should go to Lindvallen or Tandådalen and Hundfjället, which luckily are only 10-15 minutes away by car.

Very nice place with wonderfull service and delicious food . Very pleasent "JULEBORD" with HammerstadMaskin AS . Only one negative tging to say ... the security (during the night events ) should have some specific formation about how to talk to the clients , show some respect and , instead of acting like "mercenaries" , they should try to calm people and avoid confrontation !!!
