overall the meal was nice but nothing to write home about or travel out of your way for. service was very slow, took a long time to order and our foods took a very long time to come. portions are TINY. for two people you need at least 3 pastas if you’re not getting an appetizer or protein. i would honestly say to avoid the proteins as they are very small and very expensive. we tried the short rib agnolotti, lamb porterhouse and the maritozzi. the agnolotti was amazing and the portion wasn’t too bad. the lamb tasted good but it was one lamb chop, this is not enough to serve as an entree especially if you are charging $51. the maritozzi was good but i’ve had better, i don’t think it’s a necessity. the agnolotti is what people come for and i can see why, however i would say go to eataly because they have one that tastes better and costs less. the atmosphere is gorgeous and it doesn’t feel crowded but i can’t say that ill be back just because of the price for portion. also want to note that if you ask for more bread they charge $3 and they don’t tell you they’re charging you

Very average Italian restaurant, took about 1.25 hours to get our primi course to the table with zero update from the server. When the pastas arrived, nothing to write home about and probably liked them more because we were starving. The vibe was nice, good lightning - it had the potential to a be perfect mid week dinner spot but missed the mark on a few things

Absolutely loved Forsythia for a date night!

Gorgeously designed menu.

Great service - attentive, knowledgeable and kind. The focaccia is delicious - recommend the honey butter, olive oil & ricotta to accompany. We split the beet salad and arancini - only call out was the prosciutto on the beet salad was “fried / crispy” vs fresh. For pastas we ordered the lasagna which is a MUST order - perfectly crisp, and the agnolotti short rib pasta. I did not love the agnolotti - would try a different pasta next time. For dessert we had the stracciatella gelato - so yummy and perfect palate cleanser. Must order.

The vibe of the restaurant was so cute - brick walls, intimate, warm, inviting. Even the candle in the bathroom smelled like a wood cabin campfire - invoking a comforting, home-like atmosphere.

Exceptional. Top 3 restaurants in NYC. Good Italian is hard to come by. Did the 6 course tasting menu. Kind, attentive and not oppressive service. Chestnut pasta and mortadella tortellini soup were so delicious and unique. The egg yolk gelato with balsamic was exceptional, too. Thank you!
