Quality barbecue shack! Everything on the menu is really solid but a couple of mentions when comparing them to the top barbecue places in the City.

The brisket had the best black crust of any place. The meat was not as “melt on your mouth” but the crust was worth it!

The wings were the best I’ve had in the City. Huge meat ratio and the flavour was excellent.

I’d pass on the Beef Shoulder and Mac’n’Cheese. They had sold out on the ribs which was disappointing but I’ll come again.

Service was really busy and so had to wait for waiters. The queue for the food itself was really short though so you won some you lose some.

Came here after happy hour. Looking for some good warm BBQ on a cold night. Service was excellent and very attentive with some great people advising our group how to order. While we can see the potential in the BBQ, our pit master and 1/2 lb of burnt ends were basically cold which was very disappointing. I know this place has potential but the execution right now is a miss. Sides were fantastic and warm. Pickles were great too.

Absolutely delicious!!! my cousin has been raving about this place for  a while now , we finally had the opportunity to go. This place did not disappoint. The customer service was friendly. Our server was very warm and welcoming. The atmosphere atmosphere is really nice now as for the food it was phenomenal. I had the two meat platter. I chose the chili rubbed wings with the dry age, beef shoulder my sides were big beans with burnt ends, the sweet potato mash, and the mac & cheese, which was all finger, licking good.

The first thing we noticed here was that the hostess had a very good attitude and was willing to give us promptly seated. The food was decent here and of a good portion size although we felt that the baked beans could have used a bit more brown sugar as well as the sweet potato dish we had. But hey, I’m from Alabama.Lol. The pulled pork I had was tasty and had a mustard like flavor that was good. The restaurant was clean

Amazing meal and great atmosphere. We had the Mayors Banquet to share between 4 and it was incredible. Loved the ribs and the brisket. Great music playing and friendly wait staff. Next time I visit New York I’ll be back for sure!

Vet inte hur vi hörde talas om det här stället men det verkade rätt upp två stora rovdjur street. Jag har inte jätteaptit och vi åt en vegetarian. 
Cocktailarna var inte lika bra som andra ställen men vinet och ölen var bra. Vår son lyckades snickra ihop en vegetarisk måltid. Han är inte så kinkig men andra vegetarianer kanske inte gillar erbjudandet. 
Äldste sonen hade tre köttsorter, maken hade två och jag hade en. Vi var alla nöjda med kötträtterna. Sidorna var bara OK. Men 4 dollar. 75 för en gurkschalottenlökssallad som hade 8 skivor gurka och en skivad schalottenlök. 
Drycker serverades till bordet men man fick köa längst bak för maten.

Jag besökte denna restaurang på min andra kväll i New York. Först verkade det bra — rimligt prissatt med en anständig atmosfär. 

Jag beställde Pitmaster måltiden, maten såg bra ut men var kall och verkade bara avstängd från början. Inte långt efter att jag ätit kom jag ner med allvarlig matförgiftning som helt förstörde resten av min resa. Jag tillbringade de sista två dagarna av min vistelse extremt sjuk, och även nu, efter hemkomsten, är jag fortfarande sjuk. 

Jag skulle normalt aldrig skriva en recension än mindre en fattig en, men baserat på denna erfarenhet, rekommenderar jag starkt andra att undvika denna plats. Det är helt enkelt inte värt risken för din hälsa eller din resa.

När jag var på familjesemester fick jag en chans att slå en riktig BBQ joint och jag provade Hill Country BBQ men jag är inte säker på om jag gjorde det rätt. 

Maten var otraditionellt liten för amerikanska portioner, och tillagades tidigare på dagen och hölls kontinuerligt uppvärmd vilket innebar att bringan inte var så fuktig som den kanske borde, och korven och kycklingen saknade all fukt. 

Det värsta var att när man väl fått sin mat i sina papperstallrikar på plastbrickan måste man köa till en bar för att få en öl. Men inte alla där äter, de är bara barbeskyddare, så du försöker försvara din mat från att bli armbågad medan du köar på en upptagen bar. Det hela känns fel. 

Dyrt, inte jättegod mat och krångligt men jag var där för att se lite musik med en öl och kanske en snabbburgare då antar jag att det skulle vara annorlunda.

Jag ogillar den här restaurangen på grund av avrättningen. Kunderna är skyldiga att beställa på baksidan av en restaurang, inklusive för drycker. 

Jag var helt slut och trodde att jag skulle sätta mig ner och njuta av en måltid. Istället fick jag vänta i kön. Jag var tvungen att göra en beställning och sedan betala efter att ha väntat i en annan rad. Jag blev förvånad när jag fick veta att jag till och med var tvungen att beställa en öl från kön. 

Medan jag väntade på vad som kändes som en evighet att betala, placerades ölen jag beställde vid mitt bord. Som kvinna ogillade jag det här. Det är aldrig en bra idé för en kvinna att lämna en drink utan tillsyn! 

Dessutom ville jag ha vatten och fick en liten vattenkopp i plast. Detta innebar att när jag ville ha mer vatten, vilket var många gånger eftersom glaset var så litet, var jag tvungen att gå upp från min middag och gå till en läsk fontän tvärs över restaurangen! Restaurangen kommer inte ens runt för att fylla vattenglas vilket är galet. 

Du måste även gå och hämta dina egna silverbestick och servetter! Restaurangen har fräckheten att automatiskt visa 20 % dricks på skärmen när du betalar för din mat. 

Maten i sig var bra, men inte avkopplande och för mycket arbete. Jag kommer aldrig tillbaka.

Bra gäng personal, alla riktigt vänliga. 
Ganska bra urval av öl på kran, inte världsomspännande men tillräckligt bra. 
Vidare till grillen, bringa är förstklassig, stor bark och tillagad till perfektion, båda korvalternativen är bra, särskilt jalapeño en. 
Inte många grill alternativ i nyc nuförtiden, är denna plats en go också

Jag antar att varje plats har en off night, tyvärr för oss vi plockade den natten här. 
Kanske vi, som är från Storbritannien, är inte vana vid den konstiga stilen att få din mat och dryck - en server vid bordet för drycker (som var charmig) men du går och lämnar ditt bord att köa vid en disk för maten. 
OK, de berättade för oss att det är Texas sätt.... mmm. Jag är säker på att det “texanska sättet” är att inte servera köttet ljummet och när man ber om att det ska värmas upp är de stolta över att säga att de inte har en mikrovågsugn och så är det! 
En trevlig gest i slutet med en gratis banan dessert, som var mycket bättre än köttet!

Jag försökte äta här men tydligen fick jag inte äta en vanlig kycklingsmörgås med sallad och tomat. Jag är allergisk mot pickles och jag hatar bacon. Och jag frågade igen att jag har det utan pickles och sallad och tomat. Den här tjejen bara stirrade på mig och sa "du csn har en vanlig kycklingsmörgås eller med pickles eller så kan du köpa på av de andra smörgåsarna som har sallad och tomat men sedan ta av baconet" 
Vänta med vad? ? Jag sa kan jag bara ha sallad och tomat och inte pickles eller bacon tack och hon säger "det är en 2 . 99 uppladdning" Jag sa okej jag betalar för det. Sen sa hon ändå varför jag inte tar en smörgås till. Jag frågade varför det är så svårt att få en kycklingsmörgåssallad och tomat om en av dina smörgåsar som har kyckling redan har det? Sen stirrade hon bara på mig. 
Fruktansvärd service, förmodligen hemsk mat ändå. Varför skulle någon vilja äta på ett ställe med så hemsk kundservice? Jag jobbade mycket i snabbmat och det är inte så svårt att ersätta. 
Jag kommer att låta varenda person jag möter från och med nu inte äta där och jag kommer att lämna andra recensioner på andra webbplatser bara för att se till att folk kommer att se detta och tänka om äta på denna anläggning.

Vi bokade månader i förväg för att äta vår tacksägelse måltid här när du besöker från Storbritannien. Vi såg verkligen fram emot att det var höjdpunkten i vårt besök! Tyvärr när vi kom fram stod människor i kö ut på gatan och vi väntade i cirka 20 minuter bara för att komma igenom dörren för att prata med någon. Vi fick då höra om den långa väntan efter bokningstiderna för alla. Hur kan du få detta så fel? ! Alla hade betalat insättning och sattes fast i foajén och kastade ut på den frysande kalla gatan. Enorm besvikelse. Vi avbröt och åkte, kunde inte hitta någon annanstans öppen eller med plats för oss så vi åkte utan tacksägelsemiddagen på vår tacksamhetsresa en gång i livet! Tack.

Min fru har velat se NYC och göra den stora paraden sedan hon var en liten flicka. Jag reser mycket för arbete och på grund av resan ville jag se till att hennes tid i NYC var perfekt. Hon begärde en traditionell Thanksgiving-middag så jag tänkte att backen var så bra som alla platser.

Vi hade en reservation för 16:00. Den manliga värden berättade för oss vid incheckningen att eftersom det tog så lång tid att äta kunder tog det längre tid än normalt att placera alla. Han sa att vi skulle sitta så snart som möjligt. Som kundtjänst inom livsmedelssektorn skulle jag ha korrigerat värden omedelbart om han var på min personal. Du pratar aldrig negativt om dina kunder oavsett situation.

När jag säger packad menar jag fast i det främre väntaområdet där vi blev mycket vänliga med andra beskyddare. Vid cirka klockan 05:30 satt vi. Servitören var mycket vänlig (som alla på restaurangpersonalen var). Och med tanke på storleken på den sittande publiken blev jag förvånad över hur snabbt vi fick vår Thanksgiving-middag med tanke på mängden.

Nu för maten. . . . Jag reser över hela landet för arbete och äter massor av grill. Jag kunde prova det rökt Turkiet, korv och kyckling. Tyvärr kunde jag inte prova brisket och var för full för att prova revbenen. Från köttet till sidorna var jag väldigt imponerad. Jag trodde verkligen att BBQ i NYC skulle vara bara genomsnittligt men det var inte fallet för Hill Country. Det var långt över genomsnittet.

Jag skulle definitivt komma tillbaka om möjligheten är om det inte är tacksägelsedagen. Om du har en hankring för BBQ i NYC ge denna plats ett skott.

Jag bokade vår middagsreservation för NYC-platsen för 4: 15.
Vi var tvungna att vänta i över en timme på sittplatser. Vissa människor med större partier som kom framför oss var tvungna att vänta längre. Kostnaden var 75. 00 per person.
Middagen var utmärkt, vår besvikelse var att be om resterna som vi hade rört för att bli packade. Vi fick höra att maten inte får tas, vi fick höra att den skulle slängas ut. Vi såg med äckelse när maten vi betalade för staplades ovanpå varandra och kastades bort. Detta var en sådan förolämpning och det förstörde vår middag. Jag arbetade mycket hårt för att behandla min son till middag till en total kostnad med 200 tips. 00. Dessvärre var efterrätten inaktuell och torr.

Vi kallade in för tidig middag när vi passerade. Personalen var superhjälpsam och förklarade processen, som vi aldrig hade besökt tidigare. De fick också lite varmt citronvatten eftersom halsen var mycket öm. Vi försökte några köttskivor och valde sedan kycklingvingar och revben med en sida av sötpotatis och coleslaw - allt var bra och servicen var utmärkt. Definitivt värt ett besök om du är i området

Stannade här medan i stan för affärer. Mat och atmosfär var utmärkt. Kändes som om jag gick in i en grillfog i Austin. Njut av allt jag beställde. Cornpudding var speciellt härlig.

Enda nackdelen var priserna var upprörande, även av NYC standarder. $ 8 för en länk av korv. $ 30 per pund för brisket.

Det är min tredje gång att äta där. Om du går, håll dig till den fuktiga brisketten, är det definitivt bäst i stan. När det gäller resten: den korta revbenen var hemsk, alla torkade och överkokta. Reserv revben var medioker och kycklingvingen också. Men cole slaw var bra! Det värsta är priset, inte i nivå med kvalitet. Vi tillbringade $ 30 per person, inga drycker.

Beställts från deras meny på Grubhub. Yum! Brisket, potatsalad, Cole slaw och corn bröd var delicioius. Men den stora överraskningen var korven. Menyn uppgav att korven importerades från Krietz i Lockhart, TX. Visas det var nästan en exakt kopia av den fantastiska korven från. . . vänta på det. . . Luling City Market, 15 miles söder om Lockhart! (Jag vet att min Texas BBQ ... är född och uppvuxen där. Om du någonsin är i Taylor, Texas, ... inte långt från Austn, måste du bara prova den enda au jus BBQ i staten! Otroligt bra!)

Vilken fest! Vi älskade absolut det. Vi åkte med en grupp vänner och beordrade bankers platta. Den främsta revbenen som följer med smälter smält som smör. Det var verkligen så bra! Vi var med 4 och delarna var mer än tillräckligt, men eftersom vi gillade det så mycket beställde vi även mer. Tillsammans med en kruka av Allagash eller en flaska Malbec är det ren glädje. Tjänsten var snabb runt alla hungriga människor. Absolut en plats att återvända till!
