Jean-Georges’ flagship restaurant delivers everything expected of a $400 tasting menu, plus some more. One of the best meals of my life. JG’s flavors are bright, inventive, and delicious, marked by judicious use of acidity and flavors from all over Asia. Genius. I’ve never experienced these sorts of interesting flavors at any other restaurant. Despite its age, JG is one of the most youthful and exciting fine dining restaurants in NYC, full of vigor and brimming with fresh ideas. It actively pushes the boundaries of the art of fine dining the same way that a maestro wants to leave an imprint in their own artistic field. JG is worthy of being a destination dining. Caveat: you must love acidity to enjoy a meal here.

Normally I highlight the standout dishes. Here, every dish was a standout except two, an exceptionally high hit rate for such a long menu. The caviar with coconut semifreddo and dill oil felt too simplistic and flat: fun concept but seemed missing a few ingredients. The seared foie gras was missing acidity. If it appeared earlier in the meal I’d have enjoyed it more (but then it’d ruin my appetite). A sweet and heavy dish towards the end was a bit much without some acidity to balance it out.

Everything else was downright phenomenal, especially the madai sashimi with strawberry, sakura, and wasabi, which sent me directly to the stratosphere. The tuna tartare’s decoration is an exemplar of garnish for flavor, not just aesthetics, as the mint added a nice surprise and significantly changed two or three bites.

The dining room was beautifully bathed by natural lighting with a nice view of the mall and skyscrapers. The wine by the glass selection was just as complex and exciting as the food. The service was extraordinary: conversational without feeling rehearsed, and it felt like they’d do everything in their power to make sure you have an excellent dinner. I look forward to my next meal here.

I mean, would you expect less than 5 stars for a 2-Michelin Star restaurant? The food was delicious, but beyond that, creative and thoughtful. I picked Jean-Georges for my Michelin Star dining experience because the menu sounded stellar. Too many restaurants either over-simplify or over-complicate food. Jean-Georges walks the line of creativity and sophistication without crossing over into absurdity. I will definitely be back once my budget recovers!

The full experience was great. 6 courses is a lot of food, but 10 is not impossible to accomplish.

1. Let the sommelier do her job. (We went May 4th) She is incredible. Her wine choices for us was absolutely perfect. The best sommelier I met. As a reference, I eat in great restaurants from Hawaii to Tokyo.

Can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. They made our anniversary so special and were able to accommodate my gluten allergy with gluten free options and substitutions which made me feel looked after. The wagyu was one of the best I've ever had, and that's saying something.

Vi njöt av den sex - rätters avsmakningslunch, som verkligen var utsökt - varje rätt var delikat, vackert tillagad och välförtjänt av restaurangens två Michelinstjärnor. 

Med det sagt blev jag förvånad över att Jean – Georges sexrätters avsmakningsmeny inte innehöll en valfri vinparning. Bröd Service kändes också inkonsekvent: en tallrik med tre typer av bröd placerades i mitten av bordet, men när det var klart erbjöds inget ytterligare bröd, och den tomma tallriken med smulor låg kvar en tid innan den rensades. 

Servicen överlag var mycket vänlig, men något mer avslappnad än vad jag normalt förväntar mig på en Michelin - stjärnmärkt restaurang. Till exempel, när vi kom fram till 12 : Klockan 30 anmärkte min vän på hur härligt utrymmet var och sa skämtsamt att hon gärna kunde stanna till midnatt. Det svar vi fick – att vi kunde stanna till kl. 16.00 , varefter vi skulle behöva flytta till baren och kanske höra tomrummet när personalen förberedde sig för middag Service – medan det levererades vänligt, kändes lite mindre polerat än väntat. Dessutom lämnades mitt vinglas tomt vid två tillfällen innan det fylldes på. 

Lokalen i sig är vacker, och maten var exceptionell. Med en något mer uppmärksam och raffinerad inställning till Service kunde helhetsupplevelsen ha matchat den enastående standard som köket sätter.

Firade vår årsdag 28 september med en exceptionell kväll här. Maten, atmosfären och servicen var alla fantastiska. Vår server Ed var underbart underhållande samt extremt kunnig om fine dining. Vi älskade vårt bord som var sida vid sida sittplatser med utsikt över Columbus cirkeln. Stora fönster med träd som blåser - mycket mysig och elegant. Sommen var mycket söt, professionell och hjälpte oss att plocka 2 perfekta 2002 viner. Ser fram emot att återvända och rekommendera till vänner och familj

Vilket ställe! Zach vår servitör från Georgien väntade sina SC gäster och välkomnade oss som om vi var familj. Jag hörde så mycket härligt om den här restaurangen och var väldigt glad att äntligen få chansen att njuta av middagen här. Från början till slut var varje rätt klockren och utsökt, fullpackad med smak. Min fru hade den vegetariska menyn, och jag måste säga att jag njöt av de få tuggor hon tillät mig. LOL. Längtar efter att få prova 1997 års meny!

Ett mycket proffsigt bemötande 
En sommelier som verkligen kunde sin sak ,rekommenderade en bedårande Riesling 
En trevlig lokal
Maten började otroligt  bra dom första 6 rätterna hade verkligt högklass,med dom sista rätterna var knappt godkända .
Det var såser som helt dominerade tallriken och i min smak tog död på råvarorna i form av anka och hummer .
Raviolin var riktigt smaklös och anklevern var ok .
Med tanke på vad denna måltid kostade skulle jag inte besöka denna restaurang igen ,det är långt ifrån vad man vill få ut för dom pengarna

Bland det bästa jag ätit i mitt liv, vi tog avsmakningsmeny till lunch med vinpaket. Allting var 5 stjärnor, service, lokalen, maten & drycken! Ett måste!! Kostade ca 500 dollar men värt var enda krona

Jag kommer att börja denna recension genom att säga att du får det du betalar för. Om du åker hit för en upplevelse har du kommit till rätt ställe. Tjänsten var en 10, val av vin och vin var en 10, mat var en 9. 7 - Jag kan inte ge allt en perfekt poäng. Platsen är stor, vilket är mittemot Central Park. Fantastiskt ställe för ett speciellt evenemang, som födelsedags- eller jubileumsmiddag och väldigt imponerande. Räkningen kommer att bli vad det är i den här delen av staden och du blir inte besviken när du lämnar och betalar räkningen. Personalen var utmärkt och ser fram emot att gå tillbaka med min fru igen. Jag har varit ett par gånger för arbete och personlig och båda är perfekta. Efteråt kan du åka till Central Park, Time Warner centrum, filmer, det finns mycket att göra. Även några av de bästa hotellen i NYC är alla med fem kvarter eller så.

Utmärkt i alla avseenden. Tjänsten var oklanderlig. Som mat. Sittande 745 och lämnade 10: 30. Bra tempo. , Tyst nog för att fyra av oss ska prata.

Hade fyra-rätters prix fixe-menyn som var utmärkt. Vi var hungriga när vi kom in men lämnade ganska fulla. Det var min dotters födelsedag och vi fick en extra efterrätt för att följa de andra två ... Jag tyckte att det var en mycket trevlig gest. Sammantaget är maten utsökt och restaurangen är härlig.
