I visited this restaurant during New York Restaurant Week and was thoroughly impressed by the $60 dinner. Came with a Korean foodie friend and we both ordered the 3-course tasting menu plus some additional side dishes. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful and the chef also met with us and provided additional information on the dishes we had ordered. Beautiful experience.

Came on a Tuesday night (8/13) and must say we really enjoyed the foods here but unfortunately was ruined by couple of hit and miss inexperienced servers. They were three servers on the floor that night which should be adequate for a weeknight crowd. What bothered me the most was the lack of  basic fundamental knowledge about restaurant service. The first server who came to our table to take our order looks confused and even unable to answer some simple questions about the dishes on the menu. To make the matter worst a different server who open the wine bottle we ordered was just as ignorant. He just popped the bottle and serve it to everyone and drips all over the table as he pours. No bottle confirmation, presentation, pour of taste and so forth. At this point we just want to order and finish up our meal dinner then leave, let alone enjoying the meal but then came a server name “Fin”. An energetic, knowledgeable, attentive and very experience young man with a positive attitude. He went through the whole menu with us with a very professional manner. It was like a day and night. He stopped by our table periodically to check on us to assure we have a great experience dining there. We learned that through our conversation that he’s only been working there for about a month. To the owner and manager of the restaurant, we really enjoyed the foods here but the service truly needs more than just a polish. Hats off to “Fin”

Tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing. I always worry about going to places that have the smaller portions but by the time we left, I was pretty full. We did the chef's prefix menu. Everything that came out was so fresh. The food combinations were an explosion of flavor, each with their own uniqueness. Even my picky eating friend was willing enough to try everything and for the most part liked it all (I would find it impressive if a picky eater liked foie gras).  We had a group of 5 of us so we were able to try a little bit of everything. The halibut just melted when you took a bite was a pleasant surprise consider it tends to be a tougher fish. They bring out the whole beef Wellington before they cut it so you could see the golden goodness and then they cut it into portions to serve with a side of veggies. It was cooked to perfection. The duck was also good, I'm running out of words to emphasize how delightful everything was. The drinks were also very good. The sorbet for dessert was light and a perfect post dinner treat. The chocolate cake was the perfect balance of sweetness. Lastly, get the uni app. You will not be disappointed. I cannot rave about this place enough.

Food was okay! Nice presentation, good flavorful. We went on a night where the kitchen seemed slam, the whole tasting menu took almost four hours… also pretty sure the Wellington that was brought out to us was for show. There was a 30 minute wait from when they brought it out to when we actually had our food.

Vi båda hade 10 kockens provsmakning + vinparing - vilket kostar ungefär 120 kronor per person och är ett otroligt värde. Standout-kurserna var:
 1) En havsborstskål - jag glömde det exakta namnet men det var helt gott.
 2) Nurungji Gras - en saut ed foie gras som var perfekt kokta.
 3) Spanskmakrill - bra kryddor.

När vi kom fram till 9: e kursen (kort revben) hade jag träffat en vägg och kunde bara hantera några bett. Jag kunde inte ens ha någon av kursen efterrätt. Överraskande var vinhällorna EXTREMELY generösa. De hällde hela glasögon, och inte de få uns som vi förväntade oss. Flera gånger kom servitören tillbaka och sa i grund och botten att de lika bra kunde slutföra flaskan och fortsatte med att ta oss av; naturligtvis var vi båda berusade av den tid som vi lämnade.

Detta är den mest fyllande och prisvärda kockens provsmakning som jag har haft. Jag skulle rekommendera det till alla som älskar god mat.

Läckra, fantasifull mat i en mycket mysig och informell miljö. Vi delade tre stora rätter mellan två, magen fläsk, kyckling & nötkött - alla mycket olika och mycket fyllning - rekommenderas.

Vi har verkligen haft vår måltid här. Varje maträtt serveras på kockens provsmakning menyn var distinkt och bra gjort, från de traditionella till de nyare tar. Det påminde min man och jag om en upplevelse som vi hade på Will i Philadelphia, på grund av hur varje maträtt hade sin egen nivå av omtänksamt övervägande att du kunde säga att kocken verkligen satte sin energi in. Gör en bokning och gå! Du kommer inte att vara ledsen.

Soogil är $ 55 smakar menyn var roligt. De olika beredda rätterna var ganska intressanta. Några var traditionella koreanska rätter med en liten vridning, medan andra var mer franska med en asiatisk flare. Fortfarande fanns några som du kan berätta var mer av ett experiment. Cocktailerna är stora, tjänsten var fantastiskt, och den övergripande Soogil var en bra upplevelse.

Vi hade hört mycket av Soogil och gick med höga förväntningar. Bokning enkelt på Resy och de kunde ta emot oss tidigare (från 7 p till 6 p) med kort varsel. Utrymmet är välkomnande och känns modernt och nytt. Kocken har bra stamtavla inklusive Daniel. Mat var riktigt bra (därmed 3/5 / 4 stjärnor) men var tvungen att sänka betyg eftersom vår tjänst var dålig. Första två rätter skickas ut ordentligt och sedan halvtimme vänta mellan och då en av våra rätter glömda (måste göra i slutet) vilket är konstigt att äta starter / aptitretare som den sista goda kursen. Vi klagade, men ingen rabatt / fri maträtt. Så vi hade tyvärr att berätta för dem att vi tippade mindre (10% i stället för 20%) Så servrarna slutade ta värmen i stället för köket. Prissättningen är genomsnittlig med delplattor mellan $ 17-25. Den Jenga efterrätten är fenomenal med koreanska stil trattkakor. Vi hoppas att vara tillbaka för att försöka och hoppas att tjänsten förbättras. Jag kan se varför de har ett lågt antal blandade recensioner. Fortsätt arbeta med saker och det här kan vara en femstjärnig plats. . . Lycka till.

Att förlita sig på TONY-recensionen och kockens bakgrundsupplevelse på Daniel Bouluds, bestämde sig för att ge detta ställe ett försök.
De tog oss in vid 5. 30 utan reservationer och gav oss ett urval av tabeller. Trevlig.
Beställde en massa rätter med en varning från servitrisen att de serveras som delningsrätter. Ok. Vi var nere med det också.
Tja disken kom och de (portioner) var små på alla sätt.

Foie - Gras Terrine var inte spännande och blev överväldigad av den gelee som kom serveras med den. Missade målet.
Tofu sallad hade en ovanlig / underlig smak som vi inte tyckte om. Missade målet.

Kort revben med en skål med vanligt vitt ris och flera blad av kimchee var mycket trevligt. Men vänta, en bit kött per platta på 26 dollar. Hmm.

Vi lämnade med en känsla av otillfredsställd hunger och förbryllad över vad exakt betalade vi $ 75 dollar för.

Bottom line, bra service för en massa små rätter som lämnar dig hungrig och med ett hål i din plånbok.

Jag trodde att vi skulle tillbaka till en vietnamesisk restaurang som jag hade gått till förra året. När jag letade efter namnet på den restaurangen sökte jag NYT och Soogil kom upp. Jag hade komma ihåg att läsa översynen och ville komma hit så jag trodde att detta var restaurangen jag letade efter. Tja, det var inte men det här är så bra, en annan restaurang att lägga till de växande restaurangerna i New York att återvända till. Vår reservation var för 8: 30 och vi anlände några minuter innan, och vi satt omedelbart. Vår server Christoper guidade oss genom menyn och det var utmärkt. Brusselspirer, glasnudlar med grönsaker och svampar, en spanskmakaral på en ficka med chard fylld med ris och Nurungji Gras, bara en fantastisk middag. En bra hitta för oss. Först kan de börja rengöra ljusarmaturer som inte kräver någon talang.
Efter att du måste laga saker bättre än vad vi lagar hemma. Aspargesalat måste vara ur menyn som det är just nu. Grön sallad med Cesar dressing och 3 stycken inte vanlig form asparges?
Ingenting i menyn (förutom makarel) är fantasifulla. Foisgras ej rengjorda. Vackra webbsidor måste produceras varje tjänst. Jag vet inte hur de får översynen från NYTimes men det går säkert inte att fortsätta som det är.
