Classic and at a level of excellence. I'm sitting at the bar tonight, having ordered the special appetizer. Suffice it to say outstanding and worth the sick price tag, with uni, fatty tuna, caviar, and a special sauce. I ordered a small selection of my favorite à la cart items, and I'm now waiting on the house special spicy scallop maki..... I know this is going to be an incredible night of sushi.

I can say this restaurant is one you should visit if you are in NY and look for a sushi restaurant. They serve authentic sushi and also very modernized sushi. You can enjoy classic and innovative sushi both. Also I enjoyed the atmosphere of them. Very clean, cozy, and authentic Japanese restaurant atmosphere are there. I can say you won’t regret to eat their sushi. They also have affordable sushi around 40 bucks.

Yes, Sushi of Gari 46 is very expensive, especially if you get the signature omakase.  However, the quality and taste of what you get is incredible.   Ingredients are top notch and the preparation and presentation are outstanding.  It is a special and rare treat.  Service is fine and the decor is nothing too impressive, but their sushi is so very good.  Even something as simple as a tuna roll, just melts in your mouth.

Vi hade tur att få plats i baren den kvällen och Gary serverade oss, han blev lite hastig när jag bad om Wasabipasta och sedan blev han lite djärv när jag sa ge mig en till. Han överraskar mig med vad jag tror var ett vaktelägg ovanpå sushi. YUM

Mycket bra ställe åkte dit två gånger på min vistelse i NYC. Omakasen är överpris, 100 dollar för 12 bitar sushi. Nigiri var ganska smakfull men såser som de lägger på ovan får dem inte att känna sig som riktigt japansk mat. Tjänsten var bra, servitören var trevlig och vänlig. Det enda problemet är priset, mycket dyrt.

Min 9 år gammal och jag åt här innan en show. Platsen var packad men det kunde passa oss in. Den angivna isen var enastående. Mitt barn bad om något av menyn och de hyses utan problem. Den gula svansen var utsökt, salladen var färsk och kyckling teriyaki var ganska bra (men det är en sushi-plats så det var en risk). De fick oss in och ut på 20 minuter. Bland alla turistfällor på 46: e rekommenderar jag denna lilla pärla.

Kom hit med min dag på valentiner förväntar sig högre förväntningar, men maten var medioker och tjänsten var dålig. De rusade oss att lämna inom 25 minuter. Jag bad om baren sittplatser och de gav det till oss, men vi fick inte bit för bit erfarenhet. Vi serverades 4 stycken i taget, och innan jag slutade med min skull pararade de en annan tallrik på vårt bord. Sushien gjordes inte framför oss, men togs ut från baksidan och förde till vårt bord från baksidan. Jag kommer regelbundet hit. Kvaliteten på maten brukade vara bättre och tjänsten var oerhört bättre. De hade samma personal under en lång tid och nu varje gång det är någon ny som aldrig är ett gott tecken. Tjänsten har allvarligt slipped de röra upp order, de är rusade och det är överlag inte så stor av en upplevelse. Det är synd men när du börjar handla på ditt namn för att öppna en massa restauranger så är det som händer. . .

Liten plats, trevlig japansk personal som får oss att känna oss som i Japan. Trots att det är mycket dyrt (New York, afterall), är det mycket gott och erbjuder en annan upplevelse (det finns även en sushi med tomatsås).

Men, maten vägde upp för det. Det var ganska dyrt, eftersom jag bara hade tonfisk avokadosallad , samt tre bitar sushi som uppgick till $ 50 . Men. . Det är New York! Jag rekommenderar starkt det här stället , men du behöver definitivt en reservation på helgerna.

Jag kunde säga att jag är en sushi älskare. Jag har provat många ställen från traditionella pizzerian precis till modern, trendiga. . . Det här stället är ett måste gå men jag kan inte säga att det är ett av de bästa. Sushi seki är min favorit så långt. De har en del bitar som är liknande och att jag verkligen gjorde inte njuta av dem som mycket eftersom den version i seki är bättre från min point of view.

Men ändå, jag vill åka tillbaka till att ge det en annan chans och den övergripande jag njöt av mitt besök här.

Sista men inte minst, en negativ punkt som jag ge till den restaurang, är att i mitten av middag vi hade att flytta till andra plats eftersom vi hade till var snälla andra gäster. . . Inte cool.
