Came here on a Friday night. We made a reservation but arrived way earlier, they still were kind enough to accommodate us. The vibe is great, very candlelight and with music but not deafening. I’m not a very spicy food-tolerant person but I could enjoy our food nonetheless. Don’t leave without trying the Railway chicken. Drinks were tasty, kinda on the expensive side ($~20 per cocktail)

Just came here for the first time a few days ago and loved everything we tried! Would definitely recommend the pani puri for anyone, the samosas, and the chili cheese toast as starters.  We went for the paneee tikka masala and vegetable korma as our mains with rice and a side of garlic naan. Definitely healthy portion sizes but maybe a little too much food for two people! Rounded out the meal with the cardamom creme brûlée which was delightful!!! Would definitely have more of those. I hear great things about the cocktails but the mocktails were just as wonderful and would highly recommend trying.  I'll be sure to make another trip back here soon!

One of the best restaurants in NYC!!!!! Every bite is incredible, the staff are so kind, and the vibes are immaculate! I haven't stopped talking about The Drunken Munkey to everyone I know since first trying it. And I love their "meal for a meal" program – for $7 you can add on a meal for someone who is hungry, and they provide those meals each night. It makes me happy to know they do so much good (and I love being able to contribute to it). Every restaurant should take notes and follow suit!

My first ever Indian food experience was here and I couldn’t be happier. The spices and flavor of the food was fantastic. Overall a great spot for a date and the outdoor seating is actually better than indoors in my opinion. Great choice of drinks and the cocktails were great

Hands down one of the best Indian food (for the internationally known dishes) place in NYC. I mean amongst the wide platter of things we ate in seconds, I highly recommend the biryani, the pot chicken, and also the Indian spices old fashioned.

The Drunken Munkey

Mysig, ikonisk och långvarig lokal favorit. Härliga sittplatser ute en sval höstkväll under värmelamporna. Oklanderlig Service. Åtnjöt veg korma, smör kyckling, basmatiris, vitlök naan mango lassi. Spara plats för dessert. Prissatt som man förväntar sig i denna ares. ADA. Barnvänligt. Reservationer säkert.

Fantastisk mat, fantastiska spellistor och atmosfär, perfekt belysning och otrolig service. Det är tydligt från att prata med många av personalen att de har professionell gästfrihet bakgrund - från topphotell till Michelin restauranger. Servicen är uppmärksam och professionell. Inte överdrivet. Personalen är kunnig och bartendrarna blandar fantastiska cocktails. 
Detta är en bra plats för en dejt, en liten sammankomst eller en intim privat fest. Restaurangen är tillgänglig för evenemang för upp till 45 per person. Belysningen, musiken, maten och servicen förtjänar alla 5 stjärnor. Tack för en mycket minnesvärd kväll!

Platsen är lite "gömd" bland bostadslägenheter; med en uteservering blir ganska rymliga, annars är det enda inomhus inte så rymlig; få bord. Det är känt för att vara en indisk restaurang och faktiskt har du många alternativ av indiska rätter, plus en omfattande cocktailmeny. Atmosfären inuti svänger mot en fransk Bistro men det är varmt och mysigt. Personalen är definitivt hjälpsam, vänlig men förvänta dig inte människor med en turban. Vi hade en mängd olika rätter och delade att smaka lite av allt och allt var välsmakande, full av smak och portioner tillfredsställande. Vi dricker inte alkohol så vi kan inte säga om cocktails och drinkar. Priset är konsekvent med en NYC restaurang, hipp och trendig men åtminstone behöver du inte springa till nästa pizza salong en gång ut ur restaurangen.

Trots påståendet fanns det inte många alternativ för veganer. Även riset är gjord med smör och de kunde inte / skulle inte rymma. Denna restaurang stöter inte på traditionell indisk mat.

Vi ville ha ett sena mellanmål på en lördagskväll och vi snubblat över The Drunken Munkey.
 Jag var först skeptisk eftersom servicepersonalen verkade europeisk och visste inte riktigt hur de skulle förklara hur deras meny fungerade!
 Vi blev positivt överraskade när maten äntligen kom. Vi beställde kyckling och grönsaker Biriyani och presentationen var fantastisk. Vi beställde också en räka och en aubergine curry curry och de var båda mycket smakrika.
 Vi älskade denna plats!

Tillbringade 6 nätter i närheten - kom hit 5 för sena nattdrycker och hade mat levererat den andra natten (barnvakt vår 6 månader gamla barnbarn).
Personalen är fantastisk, mat (levereras) var fantastisk.

Mycket cool bar - bra personal och mat som kom förbi gjorde dig mycket hungrig.

Vi anlände till den berusade munken för att dricka öl och grava lite "barmat" och blev förvånade över att hitta en fin indisk fasthållningsgod med mycket god indisk mat

Hade en spräng först för drinkar. . . . sedan nästa dag för hela måltiden. Så pittoreska och roliga inuti. Högt nog att inte höra angränsande bordssamtal. . . . men inte så högt att du inte hör dina vänner. Maten var annorlunda än någon av oss hade haft förut. Älskade varje bit. Tro inte människor när de säger att indisk mat är för varm. Denna plats var fantastisk och smakfull

Maten är mycket bra här och tjänsten är snabb! lamm koteletter och lamm kebab är uppe och för elnätet smör kycklingen är fantastisk!
enda nackdelen är det ganska dyrt för vad du får men kvaliteten är goooood!

Bra och värt att besöka igen. Vi hade middag med familjen och kommer definitivt att komma igen när vi är i NY. Våra döttrar är både vegetarianer och vi hittade ett bra urval på menyn

Denna plats har lagt mycket arbete med alla de små detaljerna. Älskar det. Var uppmärksam på allt från flaskor till ljus.

Tjänsten var mycket bra. Kom hit med en reservation

Mat - fantastiskt. Chiliostost, paneerfett (med Naan och ris) och dal makhani. Aaloo tikki var genomsnittlig

Min man och jag tillbringade bara en vecka på semester i Upper Manhattan och efter att ha läst tripadvisor recensioner, var den berusade Munkey på vår radar innan vi kom fram. Vi kunde inte ha varit mer nöjda med våra erfarenheter där. . . så mycket så att vi åt det 3 av 8 kvällar, trots många andra alternativ.

Nyckeln för oss var bartendern, Lupe. Inte bara gjorde han och serverade cocktails att dö för, han gjorde det med stor stolthet över vad han gjorde. Vi har träffat många "roliga" "konversations" bartenders i våra resor, men Lupe är den verkliga affären. Trots att Happy Hour-cocktails var BOGO gjorde han dem som om han tjänat mycket speciella gäster. . . . var och en med precision och exakthet för den särskilda flerkomponentdrinken.
Så upptagen som han var och han var alltid upptagen klippte han aldrig hörn, varje drink var ett mini mästerverk.
När det gäller maten var det roligt indiska / samtida till mycket rimliga priser. Det fanns inte många alternativ (köket, som du kan visa är liten), men de som de hade var mycket bra. Vi försökte Goan fläsk vindaloo, som var underbart kryddig, lamm shank, som var smakfull och mild, och Malabar räkor Curry, som hade många jumbo räkor i en härlig medelstora kryddig sås. Alla dessa serverades med ris, naan och raita. Bra kombinationer, bra mat och ännu viktigare, 5-stjärniga service från Lupe. Jag skulle rekommendera denna plats i hjärtat!

Denna lilla plats är förtjusande! Leds in på en kylig natt för drycker innan middagen tvärs över gatan. Mycket mysig, bartendern var utmärkt. De lilla borden i framrutan är perfekta.

snygg chic trendy och mer. Mycket trevlig hjälpsam personal, bra service och utmärkt mat en ovanlig blandning av asiatiska och amerikanska val. Alla kom mycket väl förberedda och presenterade. Lite över priser i min mening men inte överdriven. Middags special är ett bra alternativ att försöka, jag hade Rogan Josh och det var jättebra.

Jag själv och min fru ringde in för några cocktails på väg hem till vårt boende, men vi hamnade få några aptitretare som lukten av maten var fantastisk. Vi hittade dryckerna ganska dammen bra också!
Platsen var verkligen upptagen med en trevlig publik. Personalen var också vänlig och trevlig.
