I recently had the pleasure of dining at an exceptional Japanese restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience!

We kicked off the evening at the bar with a refreshing Lychee Martini, which set the tone for the night. Once our entire party arrived, we moved to a lovely table and ordered a variety of dishes. Every single item we tried was absolutely delightful—I loved them all!

Our sommelier was fantastic and recommended the perfect bottle of sake that paired beautifully with our meal.

I can't wait to return to this gem of a restaurant! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing Japanese dining experience!

I was expecting so much more from this establishment, especially since it’s part of the Major Food Group. Don’t be mislead by it as it doesn’t offer the Carbone or The Grill level of experience.

Not only it was half empty on a Saturday night around 8pm, the food was well below my expectations. There’s literally not a single thing we had I would want to come back for.

The wine list extensive though.

I heard the wagyu sandwich is good but plan to spend about $60 for it. The garlic fried rice was salty. You need to make a reservation for dinner. Dress code is smart casual.

Overall, very high highs and low lows.

The good: I LOVED the truffle Wagyu sandwich! The flavors were perfectly balanced and the meat was soft, tender, and juicy that was wedged between two thin and buttery slices of bread.

The bad: basically everything else. The service was slow and the other dishes were not at all flavorful enough to justify their price points. The tuna and chiles dish didn’t make sense to me as a whole, but the tuna itself was good. The yuzu black bass was even worse as it had no color, very light flavors, and served with disappointingly bland vegetables. The service was also a bit slow as it took nearly 35 minutes to get the tuna appetizer. To top it all off, something I ate didn’t sit well and now I’m spending a majority of my afternoon in the bathroom

Overall, pretty disappointed considering the amount I spent on these three dishes went above $150

This was hands down the best Japanese food I’ve ever had in my life. The sushi was incredible—so fresh and beautifully prepared it felt like an art form. To top it off, their unique take on an old-fashioned cocktail was out of this world.

The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. They were attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The hostess even let me charge my phone at their station when it was about to die.

The ambiance? Absolutely stunning. The 1970s-inspired decor gave the space a retro charm that felt straight out of a Bruce Lee film. I loved every bit of it—it added such a cinematic vibe to the meal.

If you’re looking for a place that delivers amazing food, stellar service, and a truly unique aesthetic, this is it. I’ll be back !

De gick utöver för att ens göra några saker kanske inte på menyn för att säkerställa att några av våra mer reserverade ätare hade en måltid också. Maten var innovativ men inte oåtkomlig. Älskade det! Och älskade atmosfären!

Jag är vanligtvis inte så imponerad av musiken som spelas på en restaurang, men här hade de en perfekt spellista med rätt volym. Det är en snyggt trendig dekorerad restaurang. Jag fick ett vänligt välkomnande, både vid dörren och vid bordet. Atmosfären vid inträde var vänlig och avslappnad, och vår servitör tog hela tiden att förklara menyn. Jag började min kväll med ett trevligt glas Domaines Ott Rose, en av mina favoriter, och en vacker kock urval av sashimi. Efteråt delade vi några huvudrätter, och var och en av dem var mycket smakfull.

Gick dit för våra årsdagen middag, och de gav oss en slak av gratis champagne. Lychee cocktail var bra. Vi älskade wasabi hummer, kryddig toro roll och wagyu biff. De var ute av pilgrimsmussla som vi ville ha, och surfen och gräsrullen var intressant men alltför salt. Räka ris var inget särskilt. Okinawa tårta var bla, lågpunkten på måltiden, men kom ut med en "Happy Anniversary" choklad. Tjänsten var snabb (som begärt) att få oss i tid för vår Broadway-show. Priserna var högre än vilken meny jag såg online. Jag skulle gå igen för en måltid men hoppa över dessert!

Innan vårt besök studerade vi recensionerna och närmade sig vissa misgivningar om höga priser och "iffy" mat och service. Vår första hand erfarenhet - vår grupp av 4 väl reste foodies åtnjöt varje aspekt av vår middag. Vår vänliga hälsning vid dörren, kappor kontrolleras med ett leende, sittande i en privat bås, vår preferens, bekväm och uppvuxen vilket ger en fin översikt över den vackra matsalen, alla mycket positiva. Dryck och vinmenyer tillhandahölls snabbt, med vårt val av vatten, från 2 uppmärksamma servitörer. Medan vi hällde över den omfattande vinlistan kom Sommellier John till vår räddning, vi bad om en rimlig 2015 California Cabernet och han föreslog en riktigt bra flaska till ett rimligt pris som vi alla haft. Servitörer hjälpte oss att välja aptitretare, förrätter och sidor som var alla härlig. Faktum är att wasabi hummer var så bra vi beställde en sekund - och när vi kommenterade hur läckra såsen var, gav en golvchef oss några varma bullar för att suga upp den återstående krämiga glädjen - och vår andra wasabi-hummer levererades med en annan runda bullar! Vi njöt av en kryddig tonfisk rulle, hummer dumplings var smaskiga i en lätt vitlök sås (vanligtvis 3 per beställning, inga problem att lägga en fjärde för en vardera). Vatten och vinpåfyllningar var snabba men diskreta, rensning gjordes utan att jag rusade till slut. Vi bad att ha kurser levereras jämnt, för att undvika att rusa oss för att avsluta för många rätter tillsammans, och vi var inrymda utan problem. Näten var bronzino och kjolbiff (med "heta" paprika och grillade kungsvampar) som erbjuds med 8 olika såser inklusive sauterade vitlöksklyftor att spridas över de övre skivorna och andra söta, heta och kryddiga kakor som förbättrade smaken. Vi hade sett några av de jätte raka isfjällen passera vårt bord, så vi var tvungna att beställa våra egna till efterrätt. Så snart vår servitör drog glaset av rom in i mitten av berget, grävde vi in i rakad is, piskad kokoskräm och kokosflingor med gusto, och innan vi visste det var det borta. När räkningen levererades, fanns inga överraskningar, du vet vad du är i för en 5 stjärna 4 $$$$ restaurang, och det här var absolut värt det!

Fördelar: Cocktailerna är tillverkade av sakkunniga bartendrar, kreativa och läckra.
Tjänsten är professionell, artig och mycket uppmärksam. Varje 70-tal soul soul är fantastiskt (jag hade Shazam kontinuerligt öppen). Inredningen passar verkligen den coola vibe med Warhol på väggen och inredning direkt från shaghouse.

Nackdelar: Kock Tasuku Murakami kan ha utvecklat menyn, men han deltar säkert inte i förberedelsen. Maten serveras familjen stil och vi gjorde ett försök att beställa det mesta av menyn. Sushi rollen sans soja var salt till den punkt som det var oätliga. Coconut rock-räkorna var djupfryst blandhet, som inte var värd en kasse bakom nysglaset vid Panda Express. Hummer dumplings smakade som ljumma gym sockor. Och påminnelsen om vår order följde efter.

Mina förväntningar skulle ha varit i nivå med maten men för priserna. De är höga även enligt New York-standarder. Glas vitt vin = $ 25, aptitretare = $ 25 - $ 30, förrätter = $ 10 / bit (små portioner). Obs! I nätmenyn anges inte priserna.

Personligen kommer jag inte att gå tillbaka för någon anledning eftersom matkomponenten är en avtalsbrytare. Och för tjänsten, atmosfär och cocktails, skulle jag ha betygsatt denna restaurang med en stjärna på grund av dikotomin mellan livsmedelskvalitet och pris.

Vi gick till hummerklubben efter en Broadway-show. Maten var mycket bra, men det finns en begränsad meny. Tjänsten var utmärkt.

Vi hade hört talas om det och vi blev mycket överraskade (RED FLAG) att det var väldigt tomt för en helgnatt i december. Dryckerna tog lång tid och tjänsten var medioker.

Vi rekommenderades denna restaurang av vår concierge. Inuti var det härligt med en lounge / kvällsmatklubbens känsla och barområdet verkade väldigt populärt, det var trevligt att sitta och njuta av super cool atmosfär. Men medan tjänsten var uppmärksam maten var nedslående och dyrt, det fanns ingenting som verkligen var fel men det var bara ok. Jag tror att ha haft några bra matupplevelser i NYC detta för oss konkurrerade inte bara.

Expectacular mat och bra service. Vi hade ett par förrätter (the wasabi hummer var utsökt), vissa ris och kocken valet för sushi och sashimi.
Personalen var verkligen hjälpsamma och vänliga.

Min dotter gjorde vår Hummer Club reservation för en familjen middag. Jag förväntade mig en helt annan upplevelse, men vi älskade allt om The Lobster Club!
Cocktailer var enastående. Vi hade deras signatur kryddiga Bloody Marys, en margarita och en whisky och seltzer dryck (kom inte ihåg namnet). Alla var läckra!
Maten serveras i familjen stil. Jag kan inte säga tillräckligt om hummer dumplings, kokosnötter och surf och gräsmattor. Fantastiskt!
Vi hade en särskild biff och svamp risotto som var utmärkt, tillsammans med en fantastisk grillad branzino, krispig hud ingår, serveras med paprika och svamp. Servitören föreslog en grön sallad med tonfisk. Det var ömtåligt. Ledsen att jag inte tog bilder, bara dyva in i yummynessen. Men jag önskar att jag snappade ett skott av efterrätt, en jätte cheesecake toppad kon med bäris. Uppfriskande och välsmakande, enorm också!
Inredningen är snygg och tjänsten var top notch.
Ingen tvekan kommer vi att återvända!

Jag tog nyligen min son till middag på hummerklubben i nyc. Platsen är stor med en lång bar och stora stora rum. Vi satt i huvudrummet. Vänta personalen var utmärkt och hjälpsam. De förväntar dig att dela in poster. Se till att du reserverar för huvudrummet det är en bra upplevelse. Toro sashimi är fantastisk!

Älskade denna plats. Retro dekoration får dig att känna att du är i en Austin-maktfilm. Sushi s är mycket trevligt, huvudrätter är mindre bra, laxen var så så. Tjänsten är bra. Platsen är lite dold.

Låt oss möta det, The Hummer Club har denna "för coola" skolan, som normalt gör att en icke-kändis känns som en andra klass medborgare. New York har många av dessa platser, kanske för att New Yorkers gillar att gnugga axlar med kända personer (eller är det att de har masochiststrej?). Hummerklubben är annorlunda: de svala människorna är där, och det är (några) kända personer men service och äkta värme utvidgas till alla lika. Personalen är trevlig, rolig, älskvärd och går ut ur sin väg för att garantera en bra upplevelse för alla. Maten är enastående, särskilt om du gillar rätter på ljusare sidan, med enastående crudos / sashimi, bra sushi och många vegetariska alternativ. Vi föredrar framförallt främre rummet till bakrummet (och korridoren mellan straffområdet måste undvikas till varje pris) men det är en smakfråga, eftersom båda rummen görs vackert. Listan med vin och dryck är också fantastisk (men väldigt dyr i linje med menyn ...). En anekdot på en middag besök för några månader sedan: min fru stavade sitt mycket dyra glas vita Bourgogne på vår orörda Yellowtail sashimi och servern (utan att bli frågad) ersatte båda utan kostnad, skojar hela tiden medan du rensar röra. Få platser skulle ha hanterat situationen på så lätt och generöst sätt. Detta har blivit en av våra favorit matupplevelser i New York.
