Classic old school deli, I thought the pastrami was thinly sliced but not as fatty as I remember Katz to be. But the service, ambiance, bread, and free pickles and sugar cookie all made for a pretty enjoyable experience.

They were pretty busy for a 2 pm but we got seated immediately.

Classic kosher deli and smart restaurant space. My server was very nice, but the French guy on the next table had a very brusque server who came across as quite rude. I actually had to step in to explain something on the menu for him which the server didn't seem to want to take the time for.
Soup and half sandwich is a great deal and was plenty for lunch.
Matzo ball soup was excellent and I enjoyed the pastrami although it was not very hot. Great value and a fun experience, at least for me maybe not for my neighbour.
Manager/owner (?) also very nice, taking the time to ask if i enjoyed my meal.

Overpriced, overpriced, overpriced! Delicious, but when you travel the world and get to dine everywhere does this command 5 stars at the price? No!

Our server was rude and impatient. Manager or owner was absolutely worth talking to! He engaged in conversation, asked what we were there for, almost made it worth the money, but then the server returned. His demeanor was blah!

Food was good, not the best, under portioned for the price. But the experience is what we went there for, the restaurant itself.

Once was enough, won’t do it again considering the price.

I came here for the first time after a long time. I am glad that the quality is undiminished. The matzoh ball soup is still super delicious and the hot pastrami sandwich is divine. The prices were not the same as I remembered but still worth every penny.

Delicious, plentiful, Eastern European Jewish food. Friendly, attentive service, owner on site, doing meet and greets and making sure everyone is happy. Take home what you don't manage to eat, tastes better the second day. What is there not to like? Just go!

det verkar svårt att hitta riktiga judiska delis i denna stad, men jag är glad att jag snubblade över denna. Hade en väldigt dålig upplevelse Katz restaurang för några år sedan så ville testa något annat. Verkligen allt var utmärkt, majsbiff utsökt, coleslaw pickle, Service var också mycket bra och de anställda vänliga. Det är dyrt, men vad är inte det nuförtiden?

Det var så många saker rätt med denna restaurang: urvalet av pickles, den stora skålen med cole slaw, snabb Service. Men de föll ändå ihop med huvudevenemanget, min pastramismörgås. Köttet var överdrivet fett, tuggigt och inte särskilt välsmakande. Jag minns att jag åkte till Brooklyn när jag var yngre och alltid fick en superb smörgås. Kanske de dagarna är förbi, eller så kanske pastrami bara var fel val här.

Riktig New York deli med mycket välsmakande deli smörgåsar. Soppor och knishes är också bra, särskilt svampkornssoppan. Priserna är inte låga men maten är definitivt värt det!

Underbar kosher delikatesser i NYC. Pastrami och corned beef sandwiches är äkta vara. Service är snabb och servrar syftar till att behaga. Pickles är utmärkta och du kan få antingen sur eller halvsur. Om du vill njuta av den gamla stilen NYC deli, är denna restaurang ett måste.

Vi är här tre gånger (! ) och varje objekt vi beställde, oavsett hur excentrisk, var fantastisk. Fantastisk pastrami. Utsökt matzoballsoppa. Underbar babka. Även de mer unika judiska föremålen (knish, fylld kål, cholent) var i toppklass. Även gratis pickles är några av de bästa jag har haft. Uppmärksam service. Om Gud förbjude att det här stället stängdes skulle en hel kulinarisk kultur gå förlorad. Gå nu!

Detta är utan tvekan den bästa judiska deli i NYC! Jag har provat alla och har besökt NY i 50 år. Kvaliteten på maten, den vänliga servicen och atmosfären är stellar. Det är inte ett boskapssamtal där du måste vänta i kö med en biljett. Det är en riktig sit-down restaurang som definitivt är en deli, men elegant. Allt är gjort i - hus. Det är Kosher. Det är oklanderligt, även badrummen. Kan inte rekommendera det nog!

Två liter buljong... 60 dollar. 00 ? Verkligen? Det är den största rånaren i New York. Du får aldrig se mig igen. Skamligt! Girig!

Detta är inte den deli som Abe ägde. Pastramisandwichen var fylld med kött som låg och värmdes upp så att den var krispig, torr och bränd med några nyskivade bitar inkastade så att vi inte skulle märka det. Vi märkte och kommer aldrig tillbaka. Bege dig till Brooklyn för en koshersmörgås eller om inte kosher, bege dig till Katz, ja, en turistplats men pastramin smakar som den äkta varan.

Antik inredning och gammaldags set up men maten är top of the line. 

Cholent, kycklingrätter, soppor och tillbehör är superb. Detta är en döende ras i NYC men om du gillar stor judisk matlagning så kom hit. Det är inte billigt men då får du vad du betalar för och det är en proteinfylld måltid. 

Deras leveransservice är också förstklassig.

Vi ville verkligen ha “New York deli upplevelse” och detta gjorde ingen besviken. Härlig plats med stor sittgrupp. Vänlig personal. Och herregud maten. Helt enastående. Vi åt smörgåsar båda två men tackade nej till det på menyn som heter ”instant heart attack” (de gör också något som har allt utom diskbänken) Briljant! !

Jag var lite nervös att prova det här stället efter att ha läst några av skräckrecensionerna, men jag såg en kille på Instagram äta Matzo ball soppa, och jag sa till min son, när jag kommer till New York (från Nederländerna) att det är där jag vill äta! Jag trodde att personalen skulle vara arrogant och oförskämd, men det var helt tvärtom! Jag måste säga att detta var den bästa och mest autentiska deli jag har hittat på flera år och var glad att dela min familjs Ashkenazi mattraditioner med min son, som inte växte upp med denna mat. Vår servitör Sol, han
gjorde mig stolt. Han är en old school & dedikerad professionell. Inget nonsens, han visste exakt hur man hjälper oss att beställa (och inte över beställning) , eftersom jag ville prova allt! 
Vi startade upp med Matzo ball soppa, ett måste & det bästa jag någonsin ätit! Matzobollarna var mjuka, lätta och fluffiga, som att äta sammet och buljongen så fyllig och smakrik. En måltid i sig. 
Vi delade sedan en pastrami på råg, hälften räckte mer än väl till två & en beställning av potatispannkakorna, till min son den holländska grabben. Min son ville verkligen beställa en krämig coleslaw till pastramismörgåsen, men Sol kunde övertala honom att låta bli (barnet lyssnade inte på sin mamma) , eftersom gratis vinäger coleslaw och dill pickles redan fanns på bordet när vi satte oss. Jag var sugen på att prova den hackade levern men Sol övertalade mig att inte göra det också, eftersom portionerna är så generösa hade det varit overkill. Och skulle du tro, att när soppan serverades, smög Sol nonchalant två skivor råg, tjock med hackad lever efter smak och som soppan — det var det bästa jag någonsin hade haft! (Och det var min mammas specialitet) Och när pastramismörgåsen kom överraskade han min son med en sida av sin favorit, krämig coleslaw! Sol var ett helgon och gick utöver för att göra detta till en minnesvärd matupplevelse för mig och mitt barn. Innan jag åkte frågade jag om de anställde, jag skulle allvarligt överväga att gå till jobbet där så att jag kunde lära mig att fullända min familjs recept. Den var så bra - och inte bara det, jag var så nöjd att jag till och med köpte T-shirten! ! Inget skämt, så bra var det! IMO alla som klagar på det här stället är en idiot och en kunglig plåga tuchas!

Ville ha en mat judisk deli när vi kom till NYC och vi bestämde oss för att prova denna. Det var meh. Potatislatken var äcklig. Soppan hade inte mycket smak. Smörgåsarna vi fick var genomsnittliga men mitt största problem var servicen. Herrn/ägaren som satt oss var fantastisk och så söt och rolig. Vår vän var bortkastad. Det tog evigheter att göra vår beställning och vi var tvungna att stå upp för att hitta någon innan de slutligen kom över.
