Benoit New York is a gem among the bougie dining spots near Times Square. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with an ambiance that’s sophisticated yet warm—perfect for a romantic date night.

The service truly stands out; the servers are not only fantastic and good-looking but also genuinely pleasant and attentive. They offered great recommendations, and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish we tried. The food, while served in smaller portions typical of upscale restaurants, was absolutely delicious.

What a gem nestled in the heart of midtown. We came here for my husband's birthday and Maciej along with the rest of the staff were incredibly attentive. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was quiet and intimate and the experience was singular. Thank you for an evening to remember!

A very nice classic French bistro with approachable but elegant presentation. The food was great and they have quite an extensive wine list. The unexpected surprise of dinner has to go to the side of french fries, they were perfectly cooked and really complemented my steak and red wine.

Emails, French Olympic (TV in bar!), why not?

Food great, still much consistently pleasing old-timer. Best French fries (aka frites) in NYC (priced handsomely @ $12). Onion soup not so salty (but may have preferred more crusted cheese). Bread & butter with B for Benoit! Duck was nice. For $60 as 3 course menu we ordered escargot, steak, creme brulee.

Also ordered hors d'oeuvres trio.. deviled egg, rabbit foie gras pate, rillettes... our favorite deviled egg (aka egg mayo).

Service attentive. Perhaps excessively. No harm done diligently clearing, but no need to push for ordering more.... charcuterie, another glass of wine, etc.

If I compare Benoit with Tin Building. (Lol.. Alain Ducasse vs Jean George).. there are in's and out's. Personal preference is better escargot and less creme brulee.
Nearby Boucerie has different vibe... grander open venue vs cozier ambiance @ B... (I miss Remy!)

I onsdags åt jag lunch med min svåger på Benoit i New York. Detta är min “gå till” restaurang och vi besöker en gång i månaden. 

Det är en ljus, ljus, luftig Franska bistro med en zinkbar på framsidan och gott om sittplatser i den större delen av restaurangen. 

De erbjuder en två eller trerätters meny. Jag tror att priset är $ 39 / $ 45. Min svåger valde det alternativet. Han började med en sallad med getost följt av deras rostade kycklingbröst. Jag har ätit deras kyckling förut och den är utmärkt. 

Jag beställde en rätt och valde cassoulet från deras à la carte meny. Det här är en av deras signaturrätter, kanske deras bästa. Den serveras i en järngryta, som de Le Creuset säljer. Detta är en bönbaserad rätt med korv, anka, fläsk och andra tillsatser. Den är enorm. Jag har aldrig kunnat avsluta det eller träffa någon som gjorde det. 

Vi hade en flaska cotes du Rhone rött vin till måltiden. Jag tror det var ungefär 70 dollar. Vi frågade sommelierens råd och de valde det. 

Restaurangen var ganska upptagen. Kundkretsen är välklädd. I närheten tittade jag på en kille som beställde Benoit-burgaren, skivade den försiktigt i sektioner, sedan mindre sektioner, åt den med kniv och gaffel. Jag blev imponerad. 

Servicen är effektiv och Välkomnande. 

Det är därför jag kommer tillbaka.

Rekommenderas av en NYC vän restaurangen överträffade förväntningarna. Underbara matval, fantastisk vinlista och utmärkt Service.

I onsdags åt jag lunch på Benoit med min svärbror. Generellt sett gör vi detta en gång i månaden. Det var lite dag. Deras aura konditionering fungerade bra. Restaurangen var inte trångt, men det var veckan efter en fyra dagars helg. 

Benoit erbjuder en två- eller trerättersmeny utöver à la carte-menyn. Den fasta menyn erbjuder tre val i förrätts- och förrättskategorierna. Detsamma gäller för desserten. Vi gamla för två rätter på $ 39. 

Jag började med laxtartartaren, som presenterades vackert på vad som verkade vara en skärm, som också var en del av måltiden. Det var utmärkt! Vi hade båda fläsket Milanese som förrätt, som serverades med romanska hjärtan med en lätt touch av havssalt. 

Vi beställde $ 60 Côtes du Rhône röd vi alltid gör. Sommelieren kom tillbaka och erbjöd sig att ge oss en bättre flaska istället, till det förnuftiga priset. Det var en Rasteau, en av Côtes du Rhône byar. (Ju mer specifik plats, desto bättre. ) . Det producerades av Famille Perrin, skaparna av Chateau du Beaucastel, utan tvekan det bästa vinet i södra Rhenregionen. För 60 dollar var det en bra affär. Det serverades i bättre vinglas (a p, us) men vinet var kylt. Lyckligtvis värmdes den upp. 

Vi skippade desserten. 

Benoit är en av mina favoritrestauranger. Personalen är vänlig. Det är vi som kommer, inte skrämmande. Brödet är gott. De lägger till lite extra som skölpar i början av måltiden och Madelines i slutet av måltiden. 

Finns det negativa? inte många som kommer att tänka på. Det här är en favorit.

Min svåger och jag åt lunch på Benoit förra veckan. Det här har blivit vår go to restaurant på Manhattan. Benoit är en av de många restauranger som ägs och övervakas av Alain Ducasse, som har gott om Michelinstjärnor i sitt namn. Benoit har ingen stjärna ännu, men den är erkänd och rekommenderad av Michelin. 

Maten är prisvärd. De har en tvårätters meny på $ 39 . Trerätters är några dollar mer. Vin börjar runt 15 dollar per glas. Vinlistan är stor, med stort fokus på de franska klassiska regionerna. Du kan hitta bra viner från runt $ 60 . Vi har en vanlig Cotes du Rhone röd gjord av 100% Syrah vi beställer hela tiden. Det är 60 dollar. 

Vi beställde den fasta menyn. Vi åt båda lax och purjolökspaj. Till förrätt hade jag Salade Nicoise. Den serverades i en skål och man blandar ihop ingredienserna själv. 

Vi beställde inte dessert, men de kon runt med en bricka madeleines, erbjuder dem till varje matställe i slutet av måltiden. 

Det var en ganska hektisk dag på Benoit. Det stod ett par bord öppna, men resten var fyllda. Baren hade fler sittplatser. 

Lunch för oss två, beställa $ 39 två rätters fast meny tillsammans med en $ 60 flaska vin går ca $ 180 efter skatt och dricks. 

Finns det negativa? Restaurangen öppnar omgående kl. 12.00. Om du anländer tidigt, måste du vänta. Det är en mindre olägenhet. Vi planerar att återvända.

Detta är verkligen underbar fransk mat utan anspråk . Stor uppmärksamhet på matallergier. Perfekt atmosfär utan orimliga priser. Jag skulle gå igen i ett hjärtslag.

Efter att grundligt ha njutit av Alain Ducasses Benoit, Allard och Aux Lyonnais var vi glada att prova Benoit i NYC. Den fysiska växten är transportabel. Vinlistan är franskdominerad - bra - och rimligt prissatt. Tjänsten var apropos. 
Rätterna vi stötte på motsvarade inte våra förtjusta och färska minnen av Ducasses restos i Paris dock. Kanske beställde vi "fel" men egentligen allt men fritesen inte bara misslyckades med att excitera utan faktiskt i fallet med knäckebröd bara floppade. Förhoppningsvis bara en dålig kökskväll.

Det här var första gången jag åt middag på Benoit, men det blir inte min sista. 

Bra mat, bra service och fantastisk atmosfär. 

Kudos till sommelieren för att han ledde mig från mitt vanliga champagnealternativ till ett okänt, mindre husoffer. 

Mitt enda negativa (! ) var att den lilla halsen på löksoppsgrytan och den stora skålen på soppskeden verkligen stod i strid med varandra - annars mums!

Jag åt lunch med min svåger och brorsdotter på Benoit i torsdags. Restaurangen var inte särskilt upptagen vid detta tillfälle. Det kan bero på att påsken är ett par dagar bort och New York-bor är på semester. 

Vi beställde en flaska vin till start. Vårt vanliga Benoit lunchvin är en Cote dunRhone röd prissatt på $ 75 . Under restaurangveckan bar de en fransk Syrah (samma druva) prissatt till $ 60. Jag tror inte att den finns med på listan, men de har den i lager varje gång vi besöker den. 

En av oss beställde priset fast meny, prissatt till $ 39 för två rätter. Han började med hummus. Detta är ofta en grundläggande maträtt, men presentationen var spektakulär. Jag har tagit med ett foto. Två av oss åt Steak Tartare. Jag tror det är 39 dollar. De gör ett bra jobb. Vi beställde pommes frites, som kostar $ 12 . Lunchen var mycket trevlig. 

Servicen var bra. Vi hade inte bråttom. 

Finns det negativa? Bara en. Plats för lunch börjar kl. 12 : Klockan 00. Inte en minut tidigare. Kommer du tidigt, väntar du. Lyckligtvis har de bekväma sittplatser i baren.

New York City erbjuder vanligtvis ett brett utbud av restauranger, alla typer av mat, anständig kvalitet. Fransk mat är inte undantaget. Men Benoit sticker ut bland sina människor. Även om det är en elegant och lyxig plats, ger fortfarande inte ut en pretentiös vibe, vilket håller det enkelt (extraordinära, men enkelt). Perfekt för alla typer av tillfällen. . . dejtkväll, grupp av vänner. . . En pärla i det franska köket i Midtown Manhattan. 
Stor uppmärksamhet från personalen, alltid vänlig och hjälpsam. De var alltid i närheten för att tillgodose våra alla behov. 
Deras vinlista är stor och generös och deras matmeny har allt som behövs för att ha och ett par kurviga bollar (hummerpasta) , vilket inte är någon överraskning att vara kocken från Italien. 
Vi provade nötköttstartaren, utmärkt. Löksoppa, utmärkt. Rostad anka, utmärkt. Cassoulet, utmärkt. Och avslutade med bra Profiteroles (dessa var bara bra, inte utmärkt). 
Jag var kvar och ville ha mer, har fortfarande några alternativ på menyn kvar att prova så jag kommer definitivt tillbaka, mer än en gång!

En mycket trevlig och elegant miljö. Maten var mycket bra och servicen var mycket uppmärksam. En mycket trevlig lunch. Vi kommer säkert tillbaka!

Jag åt lunch med min svåger på Benoit i onsdags. Vid detta tillfälle var restaurangen den mest trafikerade jag någonsin sett det, det fanns ett eller två bord tomma, förmodligen hölls för reservationer. Jag såg ett eller två par som. Och i utan reservation ledde över till att sitta i baren. 

Populariteten kan vara relaterad till restaurangveckan. Benoit erbjöd en tre rätters, prissatt fast meny på $ 60 . Så vitt jag minns. Det fanns tre val för varje kurs. En av personerna i vårt parti började med snigeln. Det såg utmärkt ut. Jag såg att de hade röding som förrätt. 

Jag valde Cassoulet. Det var en kall dag i januari. Cassoulet har varit en specialitet sedan tiden då detta var La Cote Basque. Kassoulen är utmärkt. Den kostar 48 dollar. Den innehåller korv, anka, bacon och annat kött, tillsammans med massor av bönor. Den serveras från en emaljerad gryta av Le Creuset-typ, som innehåller din individuella, stora portion. Räkna med att få hem lite. 

För restaurangveckan har de också några viner prissatta på $ 12 / glas. En var en Syrah från Rhône-regionen i Frankrike. Jag förstår att det är från vingårdar i närheten, men utanför Cote Rotie appellation. 

Finns det negativa? Eftersom restaurangen var upptagen, saker var lite annorlunda. De brukar börja med skölpar, de där små svullna brödbitarna. Idag var det brödkorgen som var den första varan som kom fram till bordet, sedan följer den seriösa maten. Jag kan inte klaga, för det fanns så mycket att äta. 

Benoit är en favorit. Det är min “go to” restaurang för lunch i New York.

Som alltid, atmosfären, servicen, och särskilt maten var underbar. Vi återvände för min mans födelsedag och kan inte komplimang tjänsten nog; Vincent och hela personalen var felfri och hjälpsam. Vi började med löksoppa och tarte flambé, båda superbt. För förrätter, cassoulet och queneller; båda utmärkta exempel på dessa rätter. Jag har upplevt både i Paris, Lyon, Nantua, plus dussintals familjemåltider; dessa rätter är lika eller utmärker sig. Var uppmärksam, kassetten är en generös portion. Nästa gång vi är i New York kommer vi tillbaka.

Min fru och jag åt lunch på Benoit i torsdags. Detta är vår favorit franska restaurang i New York. Restaurangen är bra på att känna igen stamkunder och ta väl hand om dem. En restaurang som får dig att känna dig speciell är en restaurang där kunderna ständigt kommer tillbaka. 

Vi var 30 minuter sena på grund av New York-trafiken, men jag ringde i förväg. Detta var inget problem. Vi började med ett glas vin var. Vi hade Cotes Du Rhone, som kostade $ 17 för en 5 oz. glas som jag minns. 

Min fru har quenellerna, som var fantastiska. Jag hade kassetten. Den kör $ 46 men det är en signatur höst maträtt och kan tjäna två personer. Det var utmärkt, som vanligt. 

Vi beställde och delade en citronsufflé till efterrätt. Jag tror att det kostar ungefär 17 dollar. 

Finns det negativa? Du är i Midtown New York, betalar Midtown restaurang priser. Benoit ligger i den nedre delen av kostnadsintervallet för fine dining. 

Vi hade en fantastisk måltid. Vi planerar att återvända.

En absolut positiv överraskning är denna restaurang i NY i W 55th street. En fransk restaurangfilial till Benoît i Paris. Mycket god mat med mycket vänlig service och en mycket trevlig atmosfär. Vi skulle åka dit igen när som helst.
