Outstanding experience, we enjoyed the Wednesday night live jazz band. Our meal was delicious. The oysters were delicious, tuna tartar a must! the cauliflower  soup went great with their house made fresh bread. main courses were amazing and presented wonderfully. The wine selection is very extensive. staff was very helpful from coat check to servers even management would come by to check on us and ask if everything was well. I will definitely return again or bring friends from out of town to enjoy this beautiful and great ny restaurant experience. loved how they any left over to go for you by coat check.

Outstanding experience! I give them my outmost recommendation.
First, we had a special occasion to celebrate and we highlighted this in our reservation.
The receptionist carefully reviewed the reservation notes and seated us accordingly. Joseph was a gem and set the tone for the evening.
This definitely elevated the experience from the first moment.
The service delivered by the waiters were perfect. I mean it perfect!
The food was delicious and the drinks was refreshing.
To conclude, would definitely love to come again And I definitely recommend it.

As a European visiting this French inspired restaurant I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I know that everything has to move fast in Manhattan but sometimes its better to take things slow, especially for a restaurant that wants to be of a higher standard. The starters were brought out a little to fast after the appetizer but so far no comment. What got me a bit annoyed is that right after the starters i wanted to digest a bit and enjoy my glass of wine but about 5 to 10min later i got served with my main course.  Way to fast to even enjoy the whole food experience! The staff tried their very best to pamper you and have a great experience. The only thing they can do better is the timing of the courses. I spend around 500 USD. This included : 2 cocktails each, 1 appetizer, 2 starters, 2 main courses,  1 bottle of white wine and 1 dessert and of course a nice tip. So overal I like Gotham Restaurant,  I would dine here again, but next time I'll tell them we are not in a rush. Thank you Gotham Restaurant for the nice evening!

So we went there for restaurant week. The food quality wasn’t bad, but I am concerned with the customer service. (The lobster on the regular menu tasted awful: not worth $58 in my opinion. But the $7 bread was amazing)

(1) the appetizer included in the $60 bundle meal was charged again in my final receipt, I caught it and asked them to change back. It happened to another friend of mine recently too in this restaurant. I wonder if it’s the restaurant’s plan or it’s some waiter’s/waitress’ intentional mistake. Very suspicious.

(2) During the time when I was chatting with my friend over dinner, different waiters and waitress kept coming to check with us, making us feel we were over staying. 🙂

Review from a Feb 2023 visit. Massive variance between the price point and our experience for the evening. I've heard amazing things about this restaurant over the years but it would appear the changing of the guard after the pandemic has caused a noticeably dip in quality.

The service was objectively great, very attentive to detail and friendly/informed, no issues with adjusting meals for the vegetarian in our group. The interior felt and looked cramped in certain areas as the evening got busier. And lastly for the first half of our visit there was staff and maintenance working on fixing the AC, we were very cold while waiting for our first dishes and greeted with occasional burning/dirty smells while they were working on a fix.

The meal itself was good, nothing revelatory in terms of new flavors or ideas, just quality ingredients made well. For a few specific weak points - the truffle pasta special was just not worth anywhere close to the price, and the root veg on the roast special were under seasoned. Chocolate tart for dessert was excellent.

Biffen jag hade var helt otrolig. Har aldrig hittat en bit kött och smakfull som detta sedan mitt besök där. Jag gick till min examen middag med min familj, och jag måste säga att det kan vara lite svårt att åka dit med äldre, eftersom akustiken är så illa. Ni kan verkligen höra varandra om ni skriker. Så gå inte dit med människor som inte gillar bullriga platser! !

Vi var ett bord på fem på fredag kväll. Restaurangatmosfären var mycket trevlig, med smartklädda människor, utrymme mellan bord och en måttlig ljudnivå där man kunde ha en konversation. Sammantaget en 4 (främst för maten). Glad att jag gick, men menyn något begränsad att jag inte är säker på att jag skulle återvända. Nu detaljerna:

Mat - starkt lutande mot skaldjur, med några trevliga vegetariska alternativ. Aubergineförrätten är ett måste. Två av oss hade havsbas. Lite överkokt, men en underbar blandning av ingredienser. Vi är inte stora ätare, men alla tyckte att delarna var lite för små som huvudrätter. Desserter är ett måste, men igen, på den lilla sidan. Omfattande vinlista med utmärkta viner på olika prispunkter - och ett nöje att ha sommeliers som lämnade lämpliga förslag när jag hade minskat till några alternativ. En av de saker jag uppskattade mest är den lämpliga blandningen av ingredienser. Rätter fastade vid en huvudingrediens (som fisk eller kött) och omgav den med grönsaker, frön, kryddor etc. Totalt 4 stjärnor.

Service - vissa problem som lätt kan åtgärdas. Servitören tycktes vara otålig. Inte riktigt intresserad av att förklara vad några av ingredienserna var (som kalabrisk sås). Huvudrätter tog mycket lång tid - jag skulle förmodligen våga en timme från när de först beställdes eftersom vi väntade mycket länge mellan aptitretaren och huvudrätten. Busboys var huvudproblemet - flera gånger spillde vatten under poring; skulle ta bort tomma rätter från bordet medan andra äter - frågade individer om de var färdiga och avbröt konversationen. Vänligen träna busboysna på rätt bordsservice. Totalt 3 - 3. 5

Matpresentation och smaker är utmärkta, även om jag kände att öknarna kunde vara bättre. Golvpersonal välutbildad men var lite tappad, måste vara lite mer personliga. Riktigt bra utrymme och bra värde för den typ av restaurang det är.

Jag blev mycket besviken över att träffa den mest oförskämda köksmedarbetaren i mitt liv i Gotham-baren. Jag frågade henne om hennes namn men hon sa att jag skulle lämna eftersom jag var en turist som inte hade råd med den här restaurangen ändå. Jag fick inte hennes namn men jag tror att jag hörde en kollega säga Natalie eller Nadia, eller något nära det. Med en sådan underbar ny chefskock är det en besvikelse att se arroganta, oförskämd kökpersonal under henne. Var bättre Gotham.

Även om detta var min första gång på restaurangen, har Gotham funnits i åratal. Kvaliteten på mat och service är utmärkt och våra servitörer kunde inte ha varit trevligare eller mer professionella. Vi hade lunch för en väns födelsedag och det fanns inga besvikna magar. Maten är färsk, riklig och överdådig. Min fisk var perfekt kokta som var disken av mina vänner. Tabellerna är tillräckligt långt ifrån varandra så att du inte är skyldig att höra andras konversationer. Priserna för en lunch av denna kvalitet är mycket rimliga. Rekommenderas starkt.

Utmärkt måltid, ärligt värt det belopp vi betalat. Fast med cocktails för kvällen, foie gras som aptitretare, anka och hummer som vår elnät, chokladkakan och terrin till efterrätt (jag kommer att ha drömmar om den här terrin ...). Tjänsten var också spektakulär. Särskild plats att ha en speciell måltid och skulle gå tillbaka.
En sak att notera - Jag är inte säker på vad klädkoden var men varje man fanns i antingen en jacka eller en collared tröja. En gentleman hade en t-shirt och fastnade som en öm tumme. Definitivt en plats att klä upp det för natten.

Min fru och jag träffade min syster och hennes man på vår första natt i New York och bestämde oss för att Gotham Bar and Grill skulle vara platsen att göra detta. Första gången besök beslutade vi att sitta i baren och skämma bort några drinkar som var utmärkta. Beställde lite mat att äta i baren som innehöll en mycket liten kruka med jordnötter som på reflektion var mycket dyra på $ 9. Men hela upplevelsen var en som fick vår semester till en bra start.

OTROLIG! AMAZING! ! Bara några ord att beskriva min nya favoritrestaurang i NYC. Service, drycker och mat var oöverträffad. De böjde sig bakåt för att göra någon som jag, med blygsamma medel känner sig som en NYC-högvals.

Har alltid velat komma hit. Jag har alla Alfred Portales kokböcker, men jag är väldigt skrämmad för att prova någon av recepten så det var super kul att gå.

Bara helt enkelt elegant atmosfär, vackert belagd mat och underbara smaker.

Jag måste hålla med om att tjänsten verkade av. Cursory verkar som ett bra ord för att beskriva det som används av AC 00121. Personalen var vänlig och svarade på frågor, men kanske bara för upptagen för att få mig att känna mig välkommen? Kanske är jag bara bara picky.

Jag är sen till denna översyn men jag hade NYE middag här och det var en av de mest minnesvärda måltiderna jag har haft. Maten var fantastisk, atmosfären och musiken var på plats. Rekommendera detta och skulle definitivt gå tillbaka.

Detta är på vår lista när vi kommer till NYC. Maten är enastående och tjänsten också. En stor bonus är atmosfären. Jag märker alla detaljer, inredning, layout, belysning och akustik och de slår den ut ur parken.

som en fest på sex var jag förmodligen minst nöjd. Jag beställde hälleflundra som huvudrätt och det var overcooked. andra tog surf och gräs och lammskoteletter och allt såg bra ut.
tanke service var lite avlägsen också. kanske inte min dag, men en stjärna michelin ska vara perfekt.

Den enkla gatanången leder till en ganska riklig inredning. Vänta staber är mycket välutbildade och tillsammans med en ganska sofistikerad meny och en mycket bra vinlista får du en bra middagsupplevelse. Jag gillar lunchmåltid och platser i ryggen. Det är mycket tystare än de flesta restauranger i New York.
