Fantastic beach! Lots of kiosks and beach vendors with corn on the cob, pamonha, mate (tea), water, sunglasses, beach balls and toys for the kids, and everything you could want from a beach. Great waves, too, if you like that. We have great beaches in Florida, but zero waves, so that makes this beach (along with many others in Rio) a worthwhile attraction.

Nice beaches but the waters have been choppy. Clean and lots of space uncrowded. If you stay at the Grand Hyatt it's like having a beach all to yourself. Much more subdued and laid-back. Check out the big lizards that hang along the grassy bluffs overlooking the beach. Very friendly

Great food, great service, great waves. Just a perfect beach in the middle of a great neighborhood.
A lot to do around and service from people offering beach seats is amazing and cheap.
You can ask for drinks and food and everything will be brought to you by the guys who you rented the beach cheat to.
