Good entertainment options and different types of cuisine (but not the best in the city I have to say).
I particularly like the musical attractions of independent singing groups and choirs that perform here. There are also good souvenir shops.

We were two and were automatically placed in the veranda (which was way too cold to properly enjoy the food). We were told they would move us to the restaurant “as soon as a table is available”. Result: we were never moved even though there were clearly free tables upstairs. The reality is that if you are two, you are automatically put in the veranda as they prefer to have free big tables upstairs and keep them just in case. I did not appreciate at all this behavior. All the people next to us in the veranda were cold. It is not ok to eat in these conditions. The food then arrived and this was the biggest joke. The equivalent of a single SPOON of risotto on the dish… I took the photo before even trying the risotto so it shows the quantity served. For the price in SA, it is not acceptable. I told Sarah the waitress and the only answer was “this is the quantity for a main, do you want to call the manager?”
Well clearly, it was a disappointing experience.

This place is fantastic.  The service was great, and the food was very good. Fresh and tasty.

Food would have received 5 stars if it was not so cold.
The service specially our waiter was amazing when we saw him as he was really busy on the night. The hostess not so much besides ignoring our requests and locking the access door to the restaurant while we are sitting outside in the cold. They do provide blankets mind you but the cape town wind has a bite on the cheeks. She could have been understanding to the patrons sitting outside who then have to go around the restaurant outside on the cold just to use the restrooms.

What an amazing dinner experience! Of course all the seafood is fresh and delicious! Also, the most special thing about the place is they don’t have a menu. They will bring you to pick the seafood and also the way you wanna them to be cooked! Staff is super friendly with superb wine recommendation!

This spot was recommended by many people but I personally think it was overrated. While the food was decently good and filling, it tasted a good as a dinner you could’ve easily made at home. For the prices of the seafood it was not worth it. Especially given that half of the seafood was imported like the scallops and prawns and salmon. It was great to learn about the local fish and seafood though. And our waiter, the Congolese dude, was definitely the highlight.

The overall experience was good.
The seafood is great quality but the flavors lacked for me. Everything needed more salt and the sauces didn’t add enough too it. I don’t think they cater for our South African pallet which is use to a lot more flavor.
The sushi we had was perfect!
The service was great and I’m glad we went but for the price I expected everything to be exceptional.
We maybe be back for sushi but that is it unfortunately.

We had the most amazing lunch at the Codfather. Not only was our food incredibly fresh but our server John was top notch. We started off with some sushi and then John recommended some local SA wine and fish. We couldn’t stop saying how absolutely delicious everything was and we felt so lucky to have John hosting us! In a wealthy part of town, this location tries to shine through their seafood options. With local seafood on ice, you can choose what you'd like to eat. Generally, the service was on par for S.A., which is slower than the US, but average for SA, but very cordial. We came in the afternoon on a weekend without reservation, so we had limited time to enjoy before evening Reserved customers arrived. Immediately,  I noticed the sun shining through the upstairs windows with blinding light. There are no blinds, so make sure you're on the other side of the tabel.
