A excellent dinner experience! The service was fantastic, quick & friendly. It was super busy when we arrived but with a bit of juggling were shown to a table in a quiet corner. We had the Haggis, neets & tatters and the grilled chicken, both meals were excellent paired with a pint of Edinburgh black.
PS. We have now been here for 3 meals this week. I would also highly recommend the Cullen skink ( the soap was so tasty) & the fish & chips were for me the best in Scotland. Crunchy & fresh with awesome chips. Highly recommend this place as a must go!

Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. A great selection of beers and ciders, and the foods hearty with generous portions - I'm told the chip butty was the best. Lovely little cosy pub tucked out the way of the main city centre. Worth a visit.

Had to write a review about this place as we've just had the most wonderful meal we've eaten out for a long time.
We needed to find a place that was dog friendly and had a good food menu and believe me that's not always easy.
The reception when we arrived was very warm and friendly the atmosphere in the bar was fantastic and the drinks selection was also good.
We decided we'd try something we didn't eat at home so went for a Stew of  Venison Bourguinon . It was so tasty and the meat melted in your mouth.
We will definitely call into this very friendly Gem of a bar on our future visits to Edinburgh.

Very much enjoyed the old school pub style. The service was very quick and friendly. As a vegan tourist I was very happy to try the “haggis”. Very very happy with it and will try to make my own homemade version.

5 cask ales at the bar with two of them rotating. So perfect for the beer tasting tourist as well!

I got the mug of Cullen skink, mug of mac, and a gin and tonic with Isle of Harris gin the server recommended. Everything was great. The mac was rich and creamy, the gin was refreshing. My friend said his steak pie had a nice crispy crust. Great vibes. A good friendly pub.

Really cool retro vibe coffee joint serving breakfast scran opposite Edinburgh Haymarket station. Very attentive staff and coffee arrived piping hot. Only thing that left me a bit disappointed was the lack of black pudding in my roll - a couple of millimetres thick at best. Shame as the overall experience was good. Posting this in the spirit of constructive feedback as I want this place to do well.

Good brunch although it did not match the description. It was delicious and the coffee was really good. Very nice decorations and a good place when you stop in Haymarket

I was not impressed from this one and I am probably a bit generous with 4 stars.

The sausage roll was dry, either the bread was old or it was for too long in the grill. The full breakfast was okay, sausage and bacon were overdone. Pancakes were good, I didn’t like the pear Christmas theme but comes to personal preference.

Overall it was fine, but I wouldn’t go back unfortunately

I loved this place from i walked in through the door. It is cosy with good service and great food. Im a vegan and the vegan breakfast was the best Ive ever had. The breakfast didnt contain any meat alternatives, instead it's all veg, super fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the pancakes and he was also very happy. Juice and coffee also really good.

For a quick breakfast in Edinburgh, you can prefer this place. Their coffees are not the best ones I had; but they come in huge cups 😅 Scones are served fresh and warm with jam and butter. I’m not a huge fan of them but here they make it good.
