This was an awesome experience for us! We were seated by a window, so we had a fabulous view of the river and town. Our waiter was very polite and we were able to joke around with him, which was great. We both enjoyed the food (we had the schnitzel). The potato salad that came with the schnitzel was AMAZING and I may have eaten too much! Overall, I would 100% recommend this restaurant.

Very cozy and elegant place at riverside. Nice view, comfy chairs and decent interior within a boat. The staff took care of us with smiles and professionalism. I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast, with high hopes after making a reservation four months in advance. Unfortunately, the experience started on the wrong foot. We were not seated for 10 minutes past our arrival, with no explanation from the staff.

When we were finally seated, we were given the worst table in the restaurant — far away from  the beautiful view of the reviver that we were looking forward to. Instead, we were tucked into a dark corner that felt completely disconnected from the vibrant atmosphere of the dining area. For a reservation made so far in advance, this was extremely disappointing.

However, the food did not disappoint. The French toast was perfectly golden, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy inside, topped with peach and just the right amount of syrup. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection — light, creamy, and full of flavor. Every bite was delicious, and the quality of the ingredients was evident.

Overall, while the food was fantastic and made the visit worthwhile, the delay and poor seating were a letdown. I would come back for the French toast and scrambled eggs, but only if I could be guaranteed a table with a view that matches the quality of the food.

Motto am Fluss was one of the better restaurants I tried while in Vienna. The food was remarkable in a way I found unexpected. The batter on the chicken had a fantastic texture on par with something like tempura and the scallops and risotto were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is quaint with a nice view of the canal, not stunning per se, but certainly unique, and the prices were all quite affordable. I couldn’t recommend stopping here for a meal more if visiting Vienna.

Lovely prestigious place to have a luxurious breakfast, we visited it twice during our stay in Vienna. The service is amazing and helpful. I recommend the second floor for best experience.

What a lovely place! Located in the very centre of the city, across the Opera. On the first floor there are seats to take your coffee or a piece of cake and there is also separate place for the restaurant! There is also an elevator making it accessible to everyone! We had the classic chocolate drink and the signature cake which was amazing! The cafe area is really beautiful and the service was nice!

Food is sub par, but the service and the atmosphere definitely make up for it. I had lunch here and had a great time, despite not enjoying the food very much. I would recommend this place for coffee and pastries, but not a real meal. Gerstner has several different levels, but the top floor is exquisite. You feel totally transported into old Vienna with the elaborate architecture and decor. I highly recommend the experience… just skip the overpriced food. Our server was super friendly and encouraged us to stay as long as we wanted to enjoy the atmosphere. Vienna is full of beautiful places, and this one should definitely be on your list to enjoy a coffee & some torte.

We visited Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker several times during our stay in Vienna, and each visit was a treat! The interior design is absolutely beautiful, with a refined ambiance that makes the experience feel special. I tried the Klimt cake, cheese strudel, and their petit fours, all of which were delightful. They also have a great selection of teas to complement the pastries.

We sat on the second floor, which offers a cozy, elegant setting. I did take a look at their third-floor restaurant, but haven’t tried it yet, so this review only covers the cafe and its pastries.

+ Sisi cake and Raspberry slice are very tasty.

- a long line to wait (there are 2 floors with different atmosphere and different waiting lines, so choose before you come which one you prefer not to loose time).
