 has become one of Príncipe Real's most reliable weekend rituals. The menu covers the classics — French toast, smashed avocado, scrambled eggs — executed with care, in a space that feels sunny and unhurried without trying too hard. The terrace is the place to be when the weather holds.

📍Rua do Século 44 — Príncipe Real | $$

 keeps its food offer intentionally short, letting the coffee lead. Single-origin espresso, clean Scandinavian interiors, and a rotating selection of pastries. The Príncipe Real location is the strongest of the bunch — a natural first stop before exploring the neighbourhood.

📍Rua Nova da Piedade 10 — Príncipe Real | $

sits on Largo do Intendente with a terrace that spills out onto the square. Eggs various ways, open sandwiches, acaí bowls, decent coffee. It has a looser, more local energy than many of Lisbon's brunch spots — less curated, more lived-in.

📍Largo do Intendente Pina Manique 3 — Intendente | $

has been a Santos favourite for years. The menu leans plant-forward without being restrictive — eggs, quality bread, seasonal produce — and the kitchen clearly cares about sourcing. There's usually a queue on Sunday mornings, which tells you most of what you need to know.

 is one of the most consistently well-reviewed brunch spots in the city, and it earns it. The menu is inventive without being gimmicky — crème brûlée French toast, green scrambled eggs, a lucky avocado — and the coffee is taken seriously. The space is warm and welcoming, the staff genuinely so. A Santos staple that holds up visit after visit.

 on Rua da Esperança is one of those spots that quietly accumulates a loyal following. The food is ingredient-led and carefully prepared — cottage cheese pancakes, hashbrowns with salmon, exceptional filter coffee — in a space that doubles as a bookshop. The staff are warm and the pace unhurried. One of the highest-rated brunch spots in the city, and it shows.

 occupies the rooftop of a Bairro Alto car park, with a full panorama across the Tejo and the city's rooftops. The food is simple — eggs, toast, pastries — but the setting does the work. Best mid-morning before the afternoon crowd arrives.

📍Calçada do Combro 58 — Bairro Alto | $$

 sits on the sixth floor above Praça de Camões with open views across central Lisbon. The brunch menu is more substantial than Park Bar's — smoked salmon toast, acaí, banana bread, weekend cocktails — and the kitchen delivers it consistently well.

📍Rua do Loreto 2, 6th floor — Chiado | $$

 in Alcântara is one of the most atmospheric places to eat in the city. Several resident spots open for the weekend market crowd — 

 upstairs for Afro-Brazilian flavours and river views, 

 in the courtyard for something more straightforward. A slightly chaotic, entirely Lisbon experience.

📍Rua Rodrigues de Faria 103 — Alcântara | $$

 is a weekend-only spot in the creative Marvila district, and it has built a devoted following in a short time. The baking is the draw — pistachio croissants, chocolate chip cookies, beautifully presented brunch plates — served in a warm, unhurried space that feels entirely at home in its neighbourhood. Open Saturdays and Sundays only; worth the trip east.
