Must visit in Singapore whether as a foreigner or local like myself. I have been coming here periodically since a child, and am always impressed each time especially as a history buff myself. The artifacts and exhibits are amazing, and bring life to the past. I’m glad this museum is still popular and should always remain the case. Staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent location beside Singapore Management University and well connected to many public transport options. Thank you and keep up the good work! 🙏🏻🇸🇬

Singapore is such an incredible story, created in 1965.  This museum takes you through that story and explains some of the history and culture that has enabled it to become the modern miracle it has become.

The museum is well set out  and easy to navigate.

I recommend getting the app to ask further details  and listening to the recordings available dor most exhibits.

A lovely place with Singaporean history well displayed in a creative manner.
Plenty of station guides and lots of school kids around. They explained to batches of kids so they didn't get bored trying to read all the inscriptions.
Only issue was I wish the lighting were brighter. Was hard to read small print next to exhibits.
The cafe is decent if you want a bite.

Easy to get to via any means of transport. The museum is currently undergoing maintenance so many exhibitions as part of general admission is not available. I really enjoyed the environment when you enter the main area about Singapore. The background sounds and online tour is great to immerse yourself. We went for the full admission which included the Amazonia exhibition in the basement which was well worth - whilst not for children given its predominant pictures or local Amazonian and its wonderful surroundings. Good support for people that requires accessibility or children.
