A must visit for any fans of cats or unique temples! It’s a quick enough walk from the station and there are tons of cat-themed businesses along the walk.

Temple with a lot of the white cat figurines. Ranging from tiny size to big sizes. There are only two places with these cat figurines, at the start, next to the temple and the path way behind the temple.
It was crowded when we were there early morning. We spent about 1 to 1.5 hours here.
At the end you can buy your own cat figurines of various sizes.

A mission to get too but well worth it. Came here around 9am and was surprised there were not that many people. The crowds definitely picked up by 10am. The cat shrines are the main attraction and I thought they would be much more cats but the area is quite small. Still very peaceful to see and the surrounding areas are beautiful.

One of my favorite temples in Japan!
So unique and so distinct! It’s about a 30min train ride from Shibuya and once you get there, you’ll be amazed at how quiet, clean and tranquil the temple is. The biggest attraction are the cat figurines that has an interesting history behind it. We didn’t see any cats roaming around, but were mesmerized by the cat figurines all over the place. Once we were done walking around, they have a shop that sells the cat figurines (you can only buy one at that time) and charms.
Please stop by at this temple when you are in Tokyo, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome restaurant. Even if it’s always full, service is quick, amicable, efficient and the food is amazing. Very fresh fish, good variety and beer is fair priced.

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat sushi and found Sakae Sushi. Upon arriving, there was a line where we waited for about 15 minutes until we were seated. Walking in, we were greeted by the staff. There is a blank notepad with pens in front of you to write down your order for the chef, labeling the order letter/number and the amount of each piece you want. After handing it to the chef, he’ll begin placing your ordered items on the board in front. Service was quick and the quality was great. If you’re still hungry, just fill out the notepad again!

When paying for the meal, there are signs that mention that the 10% tax has not been added to the bill yet so keep that in mind when calculating.

Really liked this place for more high end sushi at an affordable price. And you get to see the sushi chefs make it in front of you. Prices are for 1 piece - write down the corresponding item number and how many pieces you want and hand it to the chef.

Surprisingly gizzard shad was one of the tops for me. But yellowtail, salmon, unagi and tuna always hits the spot.

Only downside was that it’s very popular and had to wait 45-1hr for dinner around 7/730. But it’s worth it.

We were craving sushi and found this local Osaka spot based on the location & reviews. We waited outside less than 10 minutes for 3 spots at the sushi counter. We were seated directly in front of the main chef who was so incredibly friendly and helped us order.
Would hands down come again based on the incredibly fresh fish and the wonderfully gracious and kind service.
