We went to Oii restaurant with big expectation and an even bigger appetite after a day of fasting. We had seen some good reviews about their iftar offer online and were desperate to try ourselves. For 199pp you definitely get some very tasty food and excellent service. The location is beautiful in Al qana and the waiters put a lot of work into making you feel welcome and looked after. The strip-loin was cooked to perfection, and the feta saganaki is truly something to write home about. The desserts were up there with the best. The only feedback I have is for 199aed I would expect slightly more. For example the only drink included is the Laban. You would think even bottled water would be served for the price you pay, but no. You have to pay for your drinks. Whereas at other restaurants the iftar offers include Ramadan style drinks or even your choice of 1 drink from the menu. I am also aware that previous years the deal was 169aed for unlimited menu selection at Oii. This year it’s increased in price and is only set menu. Again, the quality of the food is worth the price, but I do feel let down knowing I’m paying more for less. Overall I do recommend visiting here.

I love the set meal. Value for money, given the starter and dessert. Love the open layout of the restaurant where all the windows are opened up to blend in the great outdoors especially in this lovely winter weather. Also excellent service from Edirisa. Attention to details and kept our table clean at all times. Top up our tea with hot water without us asking.
It's very healthy and tasty at the same time. It's  very tomato heavy dishes.

The food was sizzling and delicious and looked so appealing. The staff were very friendly and OII is at the perfect location with a serene, calm view. A family friendly restaurant. Baby high chairs are available too.

1. To promote a place who I think has delicious food
2. To make sure that people don’t make the same mistake that I made

In this case, I’m leaving a review to make sure that if you have a certain kind of palate, please be aware.

The issue we had was with the overuse of feta or other salty cheese crumbles. For instance, in the Greek salad, which contains no lettuce by the way, the heirloom tomatoes were delicious and of high-quality, but the saltiness level was way too high because salty capers were added, as well as too many salty cheese crumbles. I’m not someone who actually watches my salt intake and I love the taste of a good sea salt, but it was too much. As well, the beef cheeks tasted very succulent, but the risotto that it sat on was very salty with cheese that had been added. Other than that, everything was delicious. The peach caprese sat in a very pungent chimichurri that was interesting. I would definitely go again, and I would tell them to go light on the feta and capers.
