Told it's a bar for "students"  and turned away by the bouncer.  Never happened to me in my life.  Says that it's a piano bar, but I guess they don't want anyone over 30 going there.  If it's a student bar, that's fine, but they should advertise as such then.

I came with a group of friends to watch the Euro 2024 games and blocked our entire afternoon to come early to make sure we secured a good seat well in advance because we had trouble finding a place to watch in the earlier rounds. Before sitting down, we asked if we could stay for both matches and were told that was no problem. We were having a great time, but after the first match was over one of the waitresses was very rude to our group and insisted we had to leave since we had been there for the first match and it wasn’t fair we were staying because they had to “turn Dutch people away” because of us and even brought a security guard over to reenforce that. Meanwhile, there were many other groups that had been there for the first game that were staying, but were not getting similar treatment so it seems we were targeted for not being Dutch, despite the fact that our whole group has lived here for many years and were very interested in watching the games and being in the atmosphere. Luckily a lovely Dutch guy sitting next to us jumped in and defended us being there and we were able to stay, but I was very disappointed in how we were treated by this particular waitress. The new waitress we got after the incident was really lovely thankfully and we did get to enjoy the rest of the game.

The security guard tried to kick me out because I was blocking his view of the tv.. I tried to apologize and he grabbed my arm and tried to rip me out. When I was shocked and said please don’t touch me he mocked me. I’ve literally never been treated like that at any place with staff and it was extremely violating. Other staff also just randomly shoved and screamed at my friends if they were in their path. It was really shocking

Emily was the best server I have had in Amsterdam. The service was amazing. Drinks were great. Wonderful place you have to come here if you come to Amsterdam and ask for Emily.

Nice place with fast service. -1 star for asking money to use the bathroom despite already paying for overpriced beer and another -1 star for the unfriendly lady at the bathroom door. So unnecessary.
