I recently stayed at a hotel that left me absolutely baffled and frustrated with their ridiculous fees. They had the audacity to tack on an extra $100 "destination fee" – for what, exactly? I’m already paying to stay there, and now they’re charging me just for showing up? On top of that, they hit me with a charge for a "broken canister" I never even saw, let alone touched. I’m still scratching my head over that one. And the cherry on top? They charged me for using basic soaps – you know, those tiny shampoo and body wash bottles that have been standard in every hotel since forever. I’ve never heard of a hotel nickel-and-diming guests for something as basic as soap! To make matters worse, the ghetto is literally a block away, and the window in my room didn’t seal properly, so I spent the entire night listening to blaring sirens and people yelling outside. This place turned what should’ve been a simple stay into a maddening game of dodging absurd, unjustified fees while enduring a sleepless night in a sketchy area. Avoid it if you don’t want your wallet and sanity to take a hit. Spent close to 1000$ in two days

I stayed at The Hoxton, Downtown LA in October and had such a great experience that I’d definitely return! The hotel is stunning, from the beautifully designed common areas to the stylish rooms. Its location is good, with plenty of things to do nearby.
During our stay, we encountered an electricity issue in our room at 5 a.m. on the first night. Jamal at the reception was incredibly helpful—he stayed calm, positive, and went above and beyond to assist us. The rest of the staff was equally kind and attentive, contributing to the overall wonderful atmosphere. The vibes here are just unmatched!

This is a great hotel in DTLA. The room was nice and roomy and was very well decorated.  It was very clean and I loved all the little details such as the bluetooth speaker in the room.  The bath amenities were great as well. Very cute rooftop bar with yummy vacation style drinks. I would absolutely stay here again.

A great place to stay. We loved the $5 breakfast bags for person. We received oatmeal, fruit and orange juice. We received the breakfast near our door. The room service and hotel staff are friendly. We stayed two nights and we did not receive an option for the $5 bag for the second night. Some scope for service improvement. The valet parking is like $60 per night including taxes and most of it was covered through my $100 Amex gold credit. The lobby has a good restaurant with good breakfast.

Rooms are fairly small, even though I got the biggest (2) twin beds room. The shower glass is see-through so hopefully you only stay with people you know intimately. The bathroom does not have any ventilation whatsoever so good luck clearing the poo air after someone has used it. My TV wasn't even plugged in to the antenna I couldn't even watch anything. It's not a smart TV either so there's no casting to it. The wifi speed is horrific for this day and age.
