We were impressed with our visit. Deserving of the ⭐️ Micheline status. The whole experience was extremely heartwarming.

The chef speaks very little English but there was a young service staff that spoke fluent English as best as she could and managed to describe each dish very well.

I described the experience as heartwarming just because the dishes were very original; not typical. Takes a passionate chef to come up with such creative dishes. The chef didn’t speak much but through his actions convinced me that he was sincere - e.g. walked us all the way up the stairs and out the door.

This place is more towards fine dining. A lot of the dishes encompassed layers of flavour so pretty impressive.

By the way, the lunch set is of very good value.

Worth a second visit for sure.

Located on the ground floor of a modest building in a small, humble neighborhood, it’s a bit challenging to find.
The food is incredibly fresh, prepared, and the menu changes with the seasons.
The presentation of the dishes is also visually appealing, and we were quite satisfied with the one-person set.

Food was mediocre,  not worth going when it costs around yen35000@ person and we had no idea how it got 1 star.  We had 4 people and it is unbelievable that the chef provided each one of us different portion and cuts of a specific fish dish as shown in pic.  Never had such kind of Kaiseiki presentations in Japan before.   Moreover,  the uni provided tastes awful,  not fresh and not sweet at all.

The cooking as well as the food quality is quite pathetic for a one-star restaurant to say the least, please avoid if you can.

The food was good and on par with other kaiseki restaurants I have been to. I just can't give a higher rating due to the service and overall experience - I just found it to be far less friendly than the other kaiseki places I had been and don't think it was quite as good value as some of the other places I've been.

I think that the atmosphere feeds so much into how you would enjoy a kaiseki, and I just didn't feel particularly welcomed. While at other kaiseki restaurants, the chef would make every effort to try and communicate what each of the dishes were to me (as a non-Japanese speaker, this has previously involved English menus, Google translate or even books with pictures of ingredients) - there was no such attempt here for me for the majority of courses. This was particularly odd when I found out the chef spoke English so it would have just been a matter of a few words to me. The food also took quite a long time between courses and there was very little reception available - so the wait between courses felt particularly long as I was a solo diner. Tokyo is overrun with restaurants, so I don't think I'd recommend or return.
