We're big fans of En in Shinagawa and been meaning to try their location in Shiodome which is really close to Shimbashi station. Located on the 42nd floor, views are spectacular with a very nice zen atmosphere.

They were able to accommodate us as a walk-in for a normal table on a Friday night. Just like Shinagawa, they have plenty of koshitsu (private rooms) that you'll need to book in advance.

The menu is different from the other location, we were overall happy with the food but for the price, it's quite steep. You're going here for the atmosphere which is definitely higher end. And normally we would have been okay with this but the service when we went was really lackluster.

Quite a few tables were upset with how slow and unattentive the staff were. Perhaps they're understaffed but for the price you're paying, it should be better.

We probably won't come here again on our own but it's a great location to take guests. Would advise going for a course meal where the cost is a little bit easier to stomach and since it's a set menu, you're less reliant on the unpredictability of the floor staff.

A very good restaurant to come to if you’re keen to experience nice Japanese food with expansive views without breaking the bank.
Reserve a time slot just before sunset to get both views in the sunlight and the nightlights.
There are a few internal seats which you should avoid so ask your hotel concierge to book a seat with views to avoid disappointment.
Order from today’s special menu which is NOT on the English menu or the menu you get through the QR code. Try and use translator apps to work out what they are and order from the specials menu.
This is my go-to restaurant to entertain overseas guests.

A breathtaking view of the city and a delicious meal at very reasonable prices. it is recommended to book in advance to seat on a Japanese table.

A quiet washoku restaurant situated right on level 42. We ordered:

- Lunch special which was a teriyaki chicken with an excellent bowl of fried fish dipped in a very nice sweet soy sauce.
- Luxury lunch set which served up really nice juicy stewed duck, braised fish collar, tempura fish & vegetables and sashimi.
- 🐔 Chicken karage where they use breast meat so if you don’t like chicken breast meat, it’s probably worth noting and not order this dish.

Overall the meal was delightful and atmosphere was really peaceful to dine in. I do think their dishes can be a bit more refined.

At the end of my meal, I did find it a bit strange that the waiter did not bother to ask me if I wanted coffee or tea as part of my luxury lunch set and just decided to serve me coffee. I don’t drink coffee at all so it would have been nice if they at least had the courtesy to ask. I would have preferred tea but I didn’t bother fixing it because I didn’t really want another drink. Aside from that, their service was decent.

Has a great city view. We do the course menu, with 6 or 7 types. The best one is oyster and the wagyu sukiyaki. Alcohol is a bit too strong.

Overall very great restaurant and has a very nice ambience.

We went with our group of 20 to En, a beautiful restaurant on the 42nd floor of the Shiodome building / mall. The entire restaurant was beautifully designed and had a really lovely aesthetic to it. The courses were plentiful and felt like you got a really good feel for Japanese culture through the food - lots of interesting and unique flavors. While many of the dishes (at least half) on their set menu - weren't exactly my cup of tea. There were a couple of highlight dishes (the chicken dish, the fried scallops), but everything else was a little run of the mill. A bit pricy too for the view and experience - nearly 4500 JPY for the set course which didn't really wow or impress. Superb view, superb cultural meal and cool setting - wouldn't really eat here again. Giving 4-stars for the cultural experience.

A traditional Japanese restaurant on 42nd floor of Shiodome City Center Building. This is for those of you who often needs to host foreign visitors in Tokyo - BOOKMARK this place. It is so handy to know "Washoku EN". Here are the reasons: 1) Atmosphere is awesome. You get the beautiful view of Tokyo bay, including the view of Rainbow Bridge. Inside, decoration is beautifully executed, with water, that makes the place look like a Japanese garden. 2) Fairly easy to secure a reservation. The place is big, so there are many private rooms. Of course there are other places that may have better food than here, but you need to make a reservation weeks in advance. Here, you just need to call a few days ahead. 3) Price is reasonable. Expect to pay about 5000 Yen per person.

Great atmosphere, authentic modern feel. Food was excellent, with a wide variety of food from meat to Sushi, to noodles. A great place when you can't decided on what type of food you want or you want it all. It's on the 42F,

At the suggestion of the most helpful hotel concierge at Park Hotel Tokyo, I tried my luck here. Bonito flavored tomago - just simply divine. Soft, fluffy and delicate. My only mistake was ordering a half portion. Shiretoko chicken from Hokkaido - juicy and tender. Comes with 3 different dipping sauces. Tuna and avocado - served cut in large chunks dressed in soy sauce and very satisfying on its own. Saba roll - The Saba almost certainly marinated in house as the flavor was so clean and the marinade so delicate I don't think you can accomplish the results any other way. My only complaint is that the staff's English speaking ability is nearly nonexistent. But at least the menu is also printed in English with plenty of pictures.

I thought a Japanese restaurant on the 42nd floor with a city view would be $100 per person with a drink but was pleasantly surprised it was more like $50 per person for dinner. The atmosphere is elegant and the menu items are wonderful - traditional Japanese with a contemporary feel. I'm on a business trip and have come here twice this past week and may come again!

Delicious original Japanese style restaurant! Food is very detailed and elegantly displayed! View is also top notch!! If you don't mind spending more yen for quality of flavor and the view, go...your mouth will surely leave most definitely content!

4th floor of a building outside the train station. Wonderful food, worth the effort to find. No English menu, there are photos or look at what the other guests are eating. Meal for two with beer came out to 3700 yen or $30.
