An excellent lesson on sustainability in the food industry. Restaurant Moment was started by a passionate couple with no food industry experience who wanted to use the restaurant to communicate sustainability concepts to an audience who may not typically think about sustainability (eg. Foodies).

Fine dining restaurants are renowned for its carbon footprint from transporting exotic food products and food wastage. In contrast, substantially all of the plant-based ingredients used by Restaurant Moment are grown in its own vegetable garden and farm.  They increase biodiversity by reintroducing heirloom plants and growing wild plants.  They also have their own bees to help pollinate their plants

Water is recycled, food waste is fermented to compost and made into soil.

Even the building itself is built using sustainable technologies. The outer walls use bricks made from compressed straw.

The food itself is excellent and it is well worth a roadtrip for this unique experience.

It does not matter how many exquisite Michelin star restaurants you have dined in before. This is an experience like no other, with associations of flavours you could never have conceived but a purity, a freshness, a creativity that leaves you speechless. The sommelier and the staff are equally extraordinary and passionate. Do try the homemade kombuchas, elixirs like no others, such as the one made with 5 type of cherries and lilac. I have been to unique restaurants in my life but this, this is my all world favourite.

Very well thought out, tasteful, surprising menu, served in a nice atmosphere by a great host, and accompanied by natural BUT very well chosen wines and juices. Produce from own grounds and immediate surroundings. One of my best dining experiences in recent years, and entirely vegetarian. What more can I say? Well worth a visit!!

Get ready to have your tastebuds challenged. For every serving local products arranged in surprising combinations lead you down surprising paths. In other words- amazing food combined with surprising wine or fruit/combucha juice prepared by some of the best vagatarian/vegan chefs. The restaurant staff deserves acclamation as well

The best food experience in my life!! Service is 5 star+!! Even though we came without reservation they made sure we felt welcome. We didn't know that this place is vegetarian only, but if You have any allergies or intolerances You have to tell it in advance and when we said that we are vegan they asked kitchen to make vegan options, but couldn't promise anything, but I'm sure our vegan option was even better that original one even though chefs were improvising!! It was absolutely AMAZING! Sometimes it was even impossible to tell what You are eating even though You know that vegetable very well. They do absolute magic with food! Everything is so tasty and balanced, from the taste till the size of a portion and number of dishes! And everything they use for cooking they grow themselves! Absolutely LOVED IT! THANK YOU!
