Vegetarian food review only

The taste at Chej TJ is really nice and almost everything that the chef prepared was delicious but with one simple problem. The food was simply not filling enough for vegetarians. While preparing vegetarian dishes, it feels like they missed the fact that half a stick of thin carrot is way lighter compared to a meat option and can simply not be an entree in itself. A piece of small grilled cabbage (picture with purple sauce) to replace a bigger piece of meat is simply laughable.

I liked the taste a lot so please improve the quantity of vegetarian food.

I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant in terms of service and ambiance. The staff and chefs were very friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The atmosphere was warm and cozy.

The savory dishes were well executed, with great flavors and high quality ingredients. However, the desserts were a major letdown. Every dessert we tried was overwhelmingly sweet to the point that it was impossible to taste anything else. Despite using premium ingredients, the excessive sweetness made them taste cheap and unbalanced.

Superb!

We visited Chez TJ a few days ago for dinner and the whole experience was fantastic. We were treated to the seven course (plus multiples surprises from the kitchen) experience where you don't get to see the menu beforehand but get surprised at every course. The staff carefully noted any dietary restrictions and went out of their way to accommodate my wife's preferences (vegetarian but open to a few select types of fish). Every course was beautifully crafted with attention to the smallest details. Even the smallest addition to the plate was bursting with flavor. The kitchen really knows how to transform every ingredient and create wonderful and sometimes unexpected flavor combinations. A truly memorable meal! Service was fantastic throughout the 3+ hour experience and we will definitely come back for another dinner soon.

Food had some interesting flavors, but the seasoning was wildly inconsistent. Had components that were too salty, some too bland (first time I've had sauces that take flavor away from the meat), some excessively sour. Even the palate cleanser was unpalatably sweet. Disappointing consider how nice the ingredients were.

Service was well intentioned but awkward and had an inconsistent vibe (felt like every server was employed by a different restaurant).

The desserts were solid so props to the pastry chef. (Though the coconut cookies at the end were also inedibly sweet)

Excellent French cuisine! Amazing experience, great ingredients, execution and presentation. Every bite is a flavorful explosion, be sure to pair the dishes with the recommended wine. You can close with the cheese cart,  and will enjoy every course!
