A cosy, warm place with a menu that prompted questions — including, how’re they going to elevate a ‘Boerewors Roll’, 1 of SA’s staple — on my first glance. You’ll have to visit Homespun to taste their take on the roll!🙂

The Maiden Voyage was quite a crunchy, fascinating, punchy, breathtaking (quite literally:)), bold, Earthy, candied, nutty, very sacred helluva journey. Each dish is almost just a spoonful but you leave the spot satisfied, & with whichever bite was your favourite leaves you gasping for more.

The evenings can get a bit busy with chances of hearing chats from other diners, but understanding (read: tasting) the chef’s intention of recreating & elevating a typical South African braai chillas/hangout through majority of her dishes only makes sense that the atmosphere mimics that fellowship among each other, strangers or not, or celebration of each other, which you’ll find at a braai.

A place worth a try! Shout out to Hilja, & team, who has managed to convince me to visit the Blouberg branch, exciting times!

My friends and I had a delightful lunch at Homespun, enjoying a meticulously crafted 4-course meal, capped off with exquisite petit fours.

The restaurant was quiet, allowing for a truly personalized dining experience with the staff being exceptionally attentive. The food was skillfully prepared, with each dish offering a balanced and flavorful profile and a surprising spin on a boerewors roll.

The suggested wine pairing was spot on, enhancing the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a refined and intimate dining experience.

Such a warm and inviting dining room. We went on a very stormy and cold evening but the room was so warm and inviting. Every dish we ate was soo tasty and the portions were perfect. I opted for the bigger menu, which was great for me. There were so many highlights it's hard to choose but one of them was the Electric Daisy. You will not find anything like it on any menu in the world.

I had the chance to celebrate my wedding at Homespun Claremont and the experience was amazing, all my guests were absolutely delighted.

The food was absolutely delicious, and I have to say, the triple chocolate dessert was incredible, it’s one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life!

A special mention to Jessica, who was truly exceptional. She was caring, professional, and always had a warm smile. Her attentiveness and interaction with us elevated the experience to a whole new level.

Just superb. The food is just delicious and exciting! A work of art … Thank you Chef! Even if you choose the vegetarian option, which they have available. The service is friendly, professional and attentive to detail! The Sommelier is great and makes good wine pairing recommendations or should be able to try some new wine from a boutique winery you haven’t heard of. This was an amazing experience and I will gladly go again when next in Cape Town.
