Nice wine bar stop on our Cape Town Culinary Tour.  We got to experience several nice South African wines.  The staff was helpful and engaging and taught us a bit about what makes this region a top wine selection.

I absolutely enjoyed my date here. The music was good, everyone was randomly joining into the jazz jam session, which turned into karaoke😂! The food was absolutely delicious, the lamb ravioli was my favorite dish there. The waiters were easy to speak to.
Overall, I suggest everyone goes to Openwine (either alone or with loved ones), you won't regret it.

I had a booking for 6pm and was looking forward to great small plates and amazing wine. What I wasn't expecting was a DJ blasting music like it's 2am in a club — it was so loud I had to yell to speak to my husband standing right next to me. The cherry on top was the staff not checking if I had a reservation, and shoving us in the back room alone. We ended up leaving, the vibes were completely off. So I can't say the wine or food is good but check if they have a DJ before going because wow what was that

From the outside I don’t think it has that appealing a view. Inside it’s cosy and warm.
The staff is very knowledgeable, and are not afraid to say they don’t know something and get colleagues to explain- which I appreciate.
Wines are spectacular local wines, organic and natural included (or maybe even exclusively).
Perfect place to start or end you evening!
The Arancini were nice but not out of the ordinary- going on only those is not a way to predict the whole cuisine and menu so see for yourself on that one!

Nice and cozy bar and restaurant. They have outside seating and a few different rooms inside. The decor is pretty cool with the wine bottles and rustic furniture. You can try some pretty cool wines.
The staff is friendly.
Prices are in the mid-range.
I would definitely recommend this place to have a drink, but not to eat. The menu has vegetarian and gluten free option, but no clearly marked vegan options. The waiter said, they do have vegan options, then he showed me the gluten free section and a meat platter... anyways, I saw that pastas, and I opted for a pomodoro and asked to make sure there are no egg/dairy in my food. The pasta came, not tasty at all... pasta and passata, no herbs. It was quite bland. Also, I got sick not long after I ate the food, so not convinced that it was fully plant-based.
