My family had an incredible stay at Hotel Groove Shinjuku! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. A fun highlight was when we ordered extra towels and a robot delivered them right to our room—such a cool touch!

We were fortunate enough to stay on the 35th floor, and the views of Tokyo from up there were absolutely stunning. Not only did we get a breathtaking cityscape, but we were also able to spot Mt. Fuji in the distance, which made the experience even more memorable.

The hotel is also in a great location, with a delicious ramen restaurant just nearby. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

Overall, Hotel Groove Shinjuku exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable stay in Tokyo.

The hotel and rooms are very nice, super comfortable bed, contemporary vibe, great/fun location, great views, but no room service and no irons in room, and no gym (unless you want to pay $40 for 1 hr use of the gym elsewhere in the building (yes, $40/hr… for a $500/nt suite, this should be subsidized). also, no pool.

-1 star for the above, but also for the ‘green washing’ with the green coin program in the bathroom, and tiny lotion and face cleansing packets. it’s a bit ludicrous?

My paraphrasing of the green coin program, “Don’t use our amenities provided and bring us one of these green coins to the front desk, and we will donate money to some village in need”. (??)

More importantly, with regard to body/hand lotion, I saw mentioned elsewhere online the hotel’s lack of it in rooms…

They do have some in the room, but it is these tiny plastic foil packets, maybe 10 centimeters (3 inches) long that have less than a teaspoon of product inside. You might use 2-4 packets each application

Again, disposable plastic foil packets. not green.

my further question is, what do they do if someone only uses the two lotion packets in the paper folder these packets are in… I personally don’t use the 2 face cleansing packets… do those get thrown away (with the folder) or do they refill the tiny slots with new plastic lotion packets?

If you want to be green, perhaps put a larger container of hand/body lotion in the room as a typical five star hotel would, as opposed to tiny, disposable, plastic packets in an unnecessary disposable paper folder. similarly with the facial cleansing product (which is also unnecessary, honestly)?

But closing on a positive note, I want to praise their bar food… I got in late for my first night of five, and the only food available was on the late night “bar bites” menu.

As an American, I wasn’t expecting much from a late night bar menu; in America they are traditionally awful, especially at hotels. but here I was very pleasantly surprised, maybe even amazed.

The braised pork cheeks (they should mention that it comes with mashed potatoes) were delicious. I also had a Caprese salad, which was very nice. Based on this alone, I would definitely order more from their bar menu, it’s reasonably priced and well worth it.

Our first day went well when we checked in. The room is the normal size to expect in central Tokyo. You can only open one big suitcase at a time. I like that the toilet and shower and sink are all separated. Main complaint is the laundry room.  5 laundry machines for a hotel of this size is inadequate and with no signs and rules in place, it allows inconsiderate guests to use two machines at once or wash continuous loads one after another causing other  guests unnecessary long waits. We had to wait four hours in the laundry room watching this happen along with other hotel guests. Making matters worst, one machine broke down as we waited. We stayed at another hotel  in central Tokyo, same size that had two laundry machines on each floor and it was half the price and didn't have this problem. We are really disappointed with this terrible experience.

I was very happy with my stay here. My room, located on the 20th floor, was big enough for our stay with a comfortable bed, modern furnishings, and everything was kept clean. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area. The service was also good the staff were friendly and welcoming upon our arrival and throughout our stay.

One downside is that there are no facilities unless you’re willing to pay extra.

There are five washing machines and dryers available on the 20th floor, which is convenient, though the dryers do take a long time to dry clothes, so you’ll need to plan accordingly. They can get quite busy as well, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this place.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights and it was a great stay. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept by the cleaning staff. The concierge staff were very helpful. Our room had a great view of the city. The location was great too as it was close to Shinjuku station and there were lots of dining and entertainment options around.
