I have been to Roka during weekdays and weekend. The restaurants, Vibing with beautiful music and wonderful atmosphere during the weekend along with fast service and delicious food. Do you during the week it’s relevantly calmer however the food quality is at its best as well. Sushi Selection are vast to select from; beef dumpling was really good; beef skirt & warm eggplant salad was good. What if my favorite Japanese restaurants I would always come back! 🎉⚡️

The dinner was 8/10. Some meals were 10/10 as their warm eggplant salad, some were 6/10 like king crab dumplings or black cod, but in general the food was good.

The service though was 10/10! Amazing staff and speed of service.

The atmosphere was 10/10 as it was the mix of great views and a DJ.

Don’t get me wrong, food is nice (but not way better than in any other Japanese restaurant of the same scale in Dubai to be honest), nothing outstanding or extremely phenomenal to highlight. What’s worth mentioning is service, it’s not the best... Very rushed, busy, robotic, no attention to details, cold and careless. Not accommodating. It’s not the type of the service and vibe that makes you want to stay more, you just want to wrap up and leave. So overall - pretty mid. Won’t return nor recommend. But as I said, food is fine. Drinks are ok. Service is a miss.

The brunch was just perfect. Fresh high quality ingredients, I even love starters more than main dish. Service is a bit slow but they all are great and smile and kind with you. Don’t understand why there are negative comments about food or service. I have tried brunch in all top tier places and I wanna praise Roka team. Definitely will bring my friends and family here whenever they visit Dubai. A bit annoyed about the flies and for sure they have many ways to reduce them.

Amazing Japanese fusion experience at Roka!

My family of 3 were traveling and staying in downtown Dubai. Our concierge at the hotel recommended Roka so we gave it a try. It completely exceeded our expectations!

Firstly, the atmosphere is very nice. They have a live DJ who created a chill vibe and one side of the restaurant faces the Burj Khalifa. So we had that in our direct line of sight as we were enjoying exquisite Japanese  fusion cuisine!

The food itself was spectacular. They have an a la carte and a tasting menu of 2 options. We chose the premium tasting menu and wow, it blew me away! I lost count but there were probably 10+ courses including premium sashimis, special sushi’s, vegetables, seafood, various kinds of meats, a beautifully done (and delicious) truffle risotto type rice, and a beautiful dessert. The manager also gave us a free sampler of their special take on “mash potatoes” - it was probably the best mash I’ve ever had. There was so much food - were stuffed at the end of the night!

Now, the service. Herbert (the manager), Kama and their team ensured that we had the best experience that night. They attended to our every need and explained every course to us. They are the ones that truly made the night special.

Needless to say, we would come back again for sure and would recommend this restaurant experience to other people! Come check it out if you’re in Dubai!
