Wow, what an amazing place. So many vegetarian items to choose from on the extensive menu it was hard to decide. We started with the fried roman artichokes and the battered fried buffalo mozzarella. We never tasted anything so delicious! Loved them both. We then had the Penne all'Arrabiata and the Gnocchi Gorgonzola e Radicchio, along with a bottle of the house wine. The food was absolutely divine, along with the service. Highly recommend! The fried roman artichokes are the best!

They had really nice depth of flavor in the tomato and ox tail sauce as well as the salmon.

The location & neighborhood are great, prices seemed fair.

I'd recommend this restaurant any day if you're in the area! Right on a cobblestone street in a old historic neighborhood.

An atmospheric place with homemade, delicious food. I read with disbelief the opinions about the heavenly carbonara. I tried a few in Rome but in Da Messi it tasted the best. The highest mark 100/100. I sincerely recommend both carbonara and real, homemade Tiramisu. No cream, just delicious mascarpone cheese with an unearthly taste!. My rating of Tiramisu is again 100/100 !!

Stopped for a classic meal, tried the chicken cacciatore that is not often seen on the menu, mostly dark meat and a bit too oily for me. I imagine the pastas would have been a better choice.  Warm and cozy, multiple dining areas, excellent service.

our favourite meal we had on our 2 week honeymoon in Europe may 2023. We’ll be back celebration our 2 year anniversary in a couple months and can’t wait to have another meal here!
