We basically stumbled across it while on the way to the Colosseum. We could not see it at first because of construction works and then there it was: all mighty and wonderful! It looks very impressive and reading a bit of the history really makes you understand the significance of it! I tried to find Decebal on it, but was not successful. The sheer size of the column and surrounding remaining ruins, make you truly appreciate the old Roman architecture - that building was simply massive and so very intricate! Would love it if one day we can generate some immersive experiences with AI, which display how all these incredible ruins used to look like in their golden age!

This place is one of the must-sees in Rome. If you want to enter through the path between the ruins, you have to buy a ticket, in advance of course. For me it was not necessary to buy the ticket, I could see the structures and took wonderful photos from the street.

The thermal baths of Trajan were dedicated by Emperor Trajan in 109 AD. You don't need tickets as you can walk around the site from above, which it gives you a better view.
