We first went here 2-3 years ago. Everything was amazing. We made a second reservation before even leaving the restaurant! We visited again on our trip this week and again everything was perfect. The host and server here have been the same each time and they are great people.

They have genuine hospitality and friendliness, even to tourists. They were always excited to offer suggestions on food and wine which is very helpful. We will definitely be back again on our next trip to Rome.

As to the authenticity of the food, I will leave that for the Italians to decide. We enjoyed everything!

Found this gem on the second day in Rome.  Amazing foods and a very friendly and smiling staff.  Great atmosphere.  Impressive all around.  Seafood might have been the best during our  9 day trip in Italy ( Napoli, Capri, Pompeii, and Rome.). Special thank you to the staff who offered us a bottle of wine due to minor credit card glitches.  After all it’s a perfect night.

Wonderful find in Monti, very near our hotel.
Excellent seafood in a lovely restaurant. The service was quite good, very attentive.
The mixed seafood platters great as was the gnocchi with shrimp and mushrooms. The Swordfish Sicilian style was equally good.

I had my birthday dinner here in October 2023. The owners and servers were so wonderful. The food was delicious and the desserts were decadent. They even gifted me a bottle of wine for my birthday. I am so grateful for my experience there and  highly recommend this charming restaurant!

Our experience at Ristorante Tema was the dining highlight of our time in Rome.  This hidden gem was fantastic in every way. The service was excellent and gave us a wonderful wine recommendation to go with our meal. The food was delicious and dessert exquisite. The limonchello and cherry/almond liquor at the end of our meal was delightful. Highly recommend!!
