Really nice staff, especially a tall gent behind the bar who introduced me to a Raspberry Ginger Beer! It was delicious! The food was very nice, although the haggis starters at £7.50 for three were a little expensive, but lovely all the same. The chicken burger was divine, as well as the salad!

Me and my wife have been there at last Saturday, and we really appreciated the time we spent with you guys! Cold beer, awesome food! And the staff great (unfortunately we forgot the name the waitress who served us, he recommended us the Carton Hill to visit!), please say thanks to him to was so kind with us!

Typical touristy Scottish pub with a hearty whiskey and beer list and a traditional Scottish pub fare menu.

The pork scotch egg was decent. It was flavoured nicely although the egg was slightly overcooked for my tastes (practically hard-boiled). The Cullen skink was quite tasty, but as it was my first time trying it, I have no point of comparison about how authentic it is.

My friends got the chicken sandwich and the fish and chips. Both enjoyed their meals, although neither considered them outstanding. The fish n chips seemed to be a rather small portion size, with only a handful of chips.

I went all in with the neeps & tatties with haggis. I had no clue what that meant, and I had never tried haggis before. (It always seemed off-putting to me.) However, I'm glad I did. It was a very tasty dish and haggis is not nearly as gross as people had made it sound. It's a luscious sort of ground beef type meat. The sauce was great too. I very enjoyable dish. Again, I have no idea how legit this version is to traditional neeps & tatties, but nevertheless, it was good enough for me.

The letdown was the so-called Pimm's Spritz that was advertised on the bar. It was an incredibly over-priced regular spritz. No Pimms should cost £12 ever. Allegedly, it had prosecco, but it honestly just tasted like a Pimms and soda. It had like a slice of lemon and a piece of apple in it that did nothing. It did not contain any of the fruits promised on the sign. That was pretty annoying and misleading. Pimm's is an incredibly cheap liquor so to charge so much for this drink and then skimp on all the fruits was a rip-off.

So, all in all, if you're a tourist and you're looking for a decent pub lunch, this will hit the spot. I don't think it's going to rewrite any culinary history books, but it's a solid amount of food for a fairly reasonable price considering the area.

Great bar we loved the atmosphere. Staff friendly and service at the bar was quick. Had everything we wanted in a bar. Spent a good few hours in here. Annoyed we didn’t choose to eat here as the food looked really good. Reasonable pricing would definitely return

Anna (I think that’s her name, lovely 25 year old with blonde hair haha!) was absolutely brilliant and went above and beyond. Lovely food and a great atmosphere. Loved the decor with all the mirrors.
