Jag utsattes för diskriminering av en säkerhetsvakt och konfronterades därefter av hans kvinnliga följeslagare, som, även om han inte var anställd på platsen, verkade ha en tidigare bekantskap med honom. Bra takterrass bar, fruktansvärd service! De frågar om det är ok att hålla ditt ID och du är kreditkort. Det kändes lite overkill, men det gjorde vi. När vi kom till baren för att checka ut, de använde 10 minuter för att fena vårt kort i en liten låda, kort som är anslutna med gummiband... ett riktigt dåligt system, som tha bar fylls upp. När jag checkade ut, meddelade min bank mig att de redan debiterat mig $ 75 . Och jag ska bara betala 25 dollar över de redan debiterade. Deras maskin sa också så. Så jag gjorde. Sen sa föreståndaren att jag måste betala det en gång till... de informerade mig aldrig om att det var 75 dollar i depositioner för att vara i deras bar. Och har fortfarande inte fått tillbaka pengarna... . . så betalningen är fortfarande dubbel... . .

Åkte dit med vänner och vi gick i skratt runt klockan 12 och säkerheten antog att vi var berusade och oförskämt att vi inte kunde gå upp.
Säkerhetsman med grått hår var inte snällt och eskorterade mig och två vänner ur byggnaden.
Jag bor tre kvarter härifrån och är EN ENORM FAN! Ett nej nej!

Jag stannade på Hotel Indigo LES för arbete och det var den enkla platsen att äta middag efter jobbet. Priserna är. . . de är NY-priserna. Maten var god, cocktails välsmakande, men ölet var mycket begränsat. Nämnde jag vyerna?

Mr. Purple, en takbar och restaurang som ligger på 15: e våningen på Hotel Indigo Lower East Side och kan vara lite svårt att hitta. När vi hittat baren / restaurangen, eskorterades vi snabbt till ett fint litet bord. Mr. Purple är hyllad som en av NYCs mest populära och livliga takbarer. Det erbjuder en fantastisk utsikt över staden, från Empire State Building till One World Trade Center. Det här är en fantastisk takbar att njuta av en drink medan man tittar på solnedgången. Vi var där mycket efter solnedgången, men vi åtnjöt fortfarande det livliga inuti barområdet. Service och drycker var bra, och jag skulle definitivt rekommendera detta stopp för en drink. Vi försökte inte maten, så det kan vara ett bra ställe att nosh på några aperitiff.

Vi fick höra om denna plats av en lokal NY-tjej som sa att det var dit hon och hennes flickvänner går varje helg, så vi gick för att kolla in det! Var helt tvungen att hitta eftersom det inte finns några tecken och vi visste inte att det var en del av ett hotell.

Hur som helst äntligen hittade det och uppåt gick vi - utsikten tog andan, det var lite blåsigt så vi satt inuti först men bravade sedan vinden för några härliga foton!

Drycker var ganska standard i design och pris, det var trevlig musik som spelades och publiken en eklektisk blandning av vad som tycktes vara lokalbefolkningen och utlänningar.

Rekommenderas starkt!

Jag vandrade nedre östra sidan grannskapet och kom över Indigo Hotel, det var en hip och rolig artsy vibe, lobbyn var full av människor som väntar på att komma upp till Mr Purple så jag väntade mig på nyfikenhet. Det var en kort väntetid på 20/30 minuter och mycket värt det. Vyerna var hisnande och drinkar var läckra. Det var en DJ som spelade sylt och vibe i rummet var på punkt! Jag kommer säkert tillbaka så snart som möjligt till Mr Purple!

Mr Purple rekommenderades av en vän före min resa till New York och så bestämde vi oss för att besöka förhoppningsvis titta på solnedgången och njut av en minnesvärd kväll. Tyvärr var det minnesvärt men av fela skäl och vi lämnade känslan mycket deflaterad och upprörd.

Baren var upptagen, vilket är förståeligt med tanke på den stora utsikten över skylinen och den tid vi besökte (runt 7 pm). Musiken var otroligt högt och betydde bara att alla ropade på varandra, vilket inte ledde till en bra atmosfär. Alla i baren vi stött på var mycket berusade, vilket vi trodde var ovanligt att se som det var relativt tidigt på natten.

Vi bestämde oss för att behandla oss till cocktails och så gick min vän till baren medan jag tog en plats för oss. Runt 25 minuter senare återvände min vän med våra drycker och var synligt upprörd. Hon informerade mig om att barman hade varit otroligt oförskämd mot henne och att han också hade överbelastat för våra drycker.

Min vän hade ignorerats i baren och först efter att ha talat upp fick hon något bekräftelse överhuvudtaget att hon väntade på att bli serverad, bartendern sade helt enkelt "vad?" Och min vän lade vår order. Efter att ha mottagit våra drycker och vår förändring såg min vän vad hon hade fått för att få reda på hur mycket man skulle kunna tipsa, då barman lånade över till min väns öra och sa "och det var därför jag inte störde att tjäna dig "innan du går ut.

Min vän förstod inte helt vad han menade med detta och även vid kontrollen av hennes förändring insåg han att han hade överladdat oss ändå. . . Jag är inte säker på om barman trodde att han förtjänade förändringen från $ 100 bill för två $ 17 cocktails? Hans reaktion får mig att tro att det var så?

Efter denna incident gick vi ut till balkongen utanför för att försöka njuta av utsikten när solen gick ner och närmade sig ett par män inom 5 minuter av att stå där. Båda var mycket oförskämda när vi inte agerade smickrade av deras framsteg, trots att vi var så artiga som möjligt (och båda har pojkvän hemma!). De fick oss att känna oss väldigt skrämmande och i slutet efter att barman var så oförskämd för oss så bestämde vi oss för att överge våra drycker och lämna.

Sammantaget tror jag att vi bara har tillbringat 45 minuter där och jag är rädd att det som kunde ha varit en riktigt speciell kväll på vår resa i New York var förstörd. Vi fick några bilder av solnedgången, men det är det enda positiva som vi tyvärr kan ta från upplevelsen.
