This restaurant is quite an experience. Came here as a large group. Bookings needed and we had to pay a deposit. But I must say, they are very responsive via email and I could arrange for some of my group members to have the add in drumming and also added extra guest.

The drumming is an extra R150 but this is so worth it for a bit of fun. We learnt to play the drums and could really play a tune. Everyone who participated in this really did have fun and some may even say that this was the highlight of the night.

After the drumming session, they will come around with a basin for you to wash your hands. The menu is fixed and everyone will eat 14 different food items that comes in a sharing style. Though it was “14 courses”, some food items were really small so don’t worry about being over stuffed. The food are dishes from different countries in Africa. Drinks are ordered separately and they are also happy to split the drink payments and do individual payments for that.

During the night, there will be some performances and dances. There is even someone walking around doing face painting.

I would say the food is not the most fantastic but the whole night really did allow us to enjoy some of the African culture and performances. Worth a visit for the whole experience if you are visiting Africa.

I'm going to start this review by saying that this was one of the most fabulous dining experiences we had during our holiday. It’s one of those establishments I’d recommend to locals and visitors in a heartbeat!

Here’s why:

14-course menu, R495 p.p. – This is excellent value for money as it includes entertainment (which was so enjoyable). You’re served small plates of various dishes representing African countries, and each was incredibly flavorsome. You can order any of the dishes as many times as you like. Our table took full advantage, ordering the samosas, kandolo balls, prawn curry, chicken wings, and dessert again. And again. :)

Customer service was warm and inviting, with the happiest waitresses I’ve ever encountered. Every performer and waiter genuinely seemed to love what they did, creating an atmosphere of pure positive energy!

I made my reservation online. They are open seven days a week, and on the night we attended, they were fully booked. We arrived at 19h00 and left shortly before 23h00—it was truly an evening I won’t forget anytime soon!

This is a must do experience in Cape Town!! The food was amazing, the staff were incredible, the drum workshop was so much fun, and the performances was great! I came here with a big group and it was a great night. Make sure to make a reservation in advance because this place is very popular for good reason.
