This is a nice, small place near Tokyo Tech and Ookayama Station. While the area is quite famous for Ramen, bakeries, big cost-effective bentos, and other things that students might be interested in (because these things are so cheap), there are also a lot of nice Japanese restaurants as well.

This place is basically on the ground floor of a small building on a side street next to Tokyo Tech. Normally, one walks in through the main gate near the station. However, turning and walking down the street next to it (with the McDonald’s and the Szechuan Shokudou), will eventually see you end up here. The decor is very elegant and fairly minimal. It’s a nice quote environment for a small, cozy dinner with friends, acquaintances, or business partners.

The food is very good and tastes super fresh and well-prepared. The ingredients are very season based, and vary from time to time. Summer will see more summer veggies, and winter will see more winter fish. The flavor is spot on, and there are a number of different foods available as well, from seafood, to vegetables, to meat, to carbs.

Basically, most people will find something good here, and even those with dietary restrictions can be accommodated given enough lead time.

All in all, a very highly recommended restaurant on the outskirts of Ookayama station. Don’t let the students in search of cheap bento or ramen fooling you into thinking nicer restaurants (but not expensive!) don’t exist here. Come and see for yourself!

鮎のパテも、鮎の旨味と豊かな風味が感じられる絶品。
太いちのサラダは20品以上の野菜を使ってる温野菜でそれぞれの個性と旨味を感じる。
刺身の盛り合わせは、鮮度や個体の良さにこだわりが感じられる逸品。透明感と脂ののり方がとても良くて見た目にもきれいで味も良い。
