We didn’t plan on visiting this museum during our trip, but we stumbled upon it during our visit to the Deoksugung Palace. It has a lot of interesting art and gorgeous embroidery pieces in the museum and I definitely think it is worth visiting. You also learn a lot about the history of traditional art in South Korea. I think this museum is definitely worth visiting, since you can visit the palace at the same time.

Cute and interesting museum with the history of the embroidery tradition from ancient times till nowadays.
The museum is small, but very well organized. The art pieces are so unique that they look like good painting from a distance, however as you approach the art pieces you can recognize the single stitches that are made so precisely and accurately that there is no limit for admiration.
The entrance is free. You can take pictures, videos are not allowed. I would recommend to visit during the week, on weekends can be overcrowded.
After the museum you can sit in the stairs and enjoy a beautiful view on the magnificent architecture of the ancient temples and of the modern skyscrapers.

Over all a very good experience to get to know about the connection between the modern and the old culture of korea. Entry fee for adults are 3000 won for the museum and another 10000 won for the palace. It's worth spending time there. It was not so crowded because of the winter climate
