This was a very spontaneous and unexpected lunch and let me tell you, it was amazing!
The quality of food served here is devine!! Presentation of food is clean, simple, refined and when you actually dig in, flavor explosion. It tastes even better than it looks.
Couldn't recommend more. We ordered the mid tier chef's selection lunch menu and it not only didn't disappoint but pleasantly surprised us.
Great service, only thing I can say is that I cannot hear anything the waiters say at all due to the nature of the space but that doesn't phase me, just feed my belly!

Awesome cocktails to enhance your dining pleasure. Food was exceptionally fresh and flavoursome. We felt welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend a visit if you love modern Japanese style.

My husband and I have been visiting Kuro for our annual anniversary, and they never disappoint. Each time we come, we try a new dish, and the flavors and quality are consistently exceptional. The way the flavors in each dish complement each other is truly impressive. Being dairy-intolerant, we greatly appreciate how accommodating they are with every dish.

We highly recommend Kuro for celebrating your special occasions!

Came during Valentine’s Day and they had a set menu going. The oysters were nice and the chorizo snack was just okay, the churro with the sour cream and caviar was my fav! I like the combination sour cream which the crispiness of the churro!

The beef tartare was nice, the cracker underneath was okay, I feel like they could have used a different one though.

The kingfish was nice, wasabi wasn’t too strong and the Granny Smith apple was nice.

The scallops were okay, strong cucumber flavour, a bit more of a fresh style of /,-“”90z

The ocean trout confit was really nice with a coconut(?) kaffir lime taste. The grapefruit definitely has to be enjoy with confit and not on its own.

The risotto and scampi was nice, but oily.

The steak was nice, the mushrooms were a bit too sour for me though. I also think the chips sitting in the sauce made them a bit soggy and they tasted a little stale.

Desserts were both nice, ice cream was refreshing while the chocolate was an almost fudge like texture and quite heavy.

In terms of service, we were late due to unprecedented traffic due to rail strikes and such, I believe other patrons were also late so they kindly accomodated. The whole set menu took about three hours to happen. I did notice other tables having to wait and i heard the next table complaining they had waited 30min for their starters to come out which was quite unusual.

While their food and general customer service is good, perhaps they’re not too well suited for major rushes like Valentine’s Day.

Excellent food and the staff are wonderful. The tantan noodles, Kuro fried chicken, kingfish tartare, snapper and ocean trout ceviche and wagyu were really special. Everything on the set menu came together to create a memorable experience on my wife’s birthday.
