Today was my second visit (lunchtime) to La Barriere as I returned to Paris on business from the States again. My prior visit was in November of 2018 for dinner. On both occasions I was greeted warmly by Malika (the chef's wife) who is perhaps the most beautiful and impeccably dressed woman on the planet. I'd say she deserves 1/2 half the credit for the success of the business as she is a very professional, hard-working, and efficient service provider (doing it all) and makes each guest feel very special and appreciated. Once again, I sampled from among their various Lobster dishes (several courses) which are all delicious. I also again enjoyed their homemade Apple Tart (Huge!) dessert which is made to order (so be patient). Soooo good!  There was a noticeably larger crowd for lunch vs. dinner (every table occupied by the time I left) which is perhaps not surprising as the area is much more business vs. residential. A reservation might be a good idea for lunch just in case, especially if a party of three or more. Dinner however was much less hectic and relaxed. One thing is for certain, this is definitely the best high-end French themed restaurant within the Clichy section of Paris and well worth visiting. 

Side note: As an American, it took some adjusting to the on-site (i.e., walking around) french bulldog mascot that is like a member of the staff, which is forbidden in our Country, but after finding many cats similarly walking around several other restaurants I visited during my stay, I realized this is commonplace and accepted in France - "so when in Rome" as they say!

A hidden gem in the area. The service is top shape, it's really ideal for business dinner or for quiet encounters. Malika who is the main hostess is the chefs wife, and she pays great attention to detail to ensure your experience is perfect. 
My dad always goes back there for the quality of the plates and I make sure I tag along as much as possible!

The warmth of the hostess/waitress/co-owner is like stepping back in time.  Professional and personal - perfect blend of both.   The food?  Husband co-owner is chef and brings the same skill , class and understated elegance to his end of the partnership


Party of 4, we ate it all.   Seafood to tenderloin.  Outstanding.  I was in food biz for 25 years.... so grateful to run across this gem ... the pride and live they both have for food and service almost made me sad.  Where has this level of pride, poise, flavor and generosity gone?   But, joy in evening got me over it and we had a special time and meal with friends...

This an excellent relaxing restaurant. The food was very delicious, and excellently presented. The service was impeccable. The lighting was very relaxing. It is a family restaurant and the local Porsche club meets here once a month. I had the veal and the chocolate mousse. We were given a complimentary dessert sampler and glasses of champagne after our dinner. I don't think I have had better service at a restaurant.

I had the pleasure of meeting chef Jerome and his wife Malika who also runs the restaurant. He has been in the business his entire life and you can taste it with every dish. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for the true french dinning experience.
