I rarely write poor reviews, however, the service at this place deserves it. The place is very busy with outdoor seating, but because I don't like the smell of cigarette smoke, I chose a table inside. The time was 7:30 pm and I asked the bartender for a hibiscus tonic water. He spoke French and pointed to the waiter at the computer and basically said it would only take a minute for the waiter to take my order. So I sat down and waited about 10 minutes with no service. So I got up and told the guy at the computer that I wanted two tonic waters and pointed to the bottle on the bar. 

I sat down and another waiter approached me and said he didn't understand my order. He also spoke French and pointed out that it was just me. He asked if someone else was joining me. I pointed to my dog who was on the floor and said she doesn't drink much. He asked me, if there's only one of you why do you want two drinks?  (Clue: I'm thirsty from walking around the neighborhood).

He got upset and asked if I spoke French and I replied,"une peu" -- a little. He really tried to embarrass me but he didn't succeed. So he tells me I'm not going to take your order. I walked out after not getting any service from this j&rk!

Mediocre to inedible food. The service was nice. First we were seated at a table for 4 which only was accessible for 1 which was a bad start. My son and I had to climb over chairs and were bunched up by the wall. There were plentiful tables the entire duration of our meal. We had a pasta dish, chicken curry and scallops. The scallops were so overdone I couldn't eat them. The pasta dish was also bland. Everything was over cooked and under seasoned. I would not waste time or calories here.

Excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff. 
Me and a couple of friends were staying right next door and stumbled upon this place on our last day in Paris. 
Had we known we would have eaten here the whole time during our stay.

If you have the chance to be in proximity of Le Nouveau Paris, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't choose to eat there. I've had an assortment of food during lunch hours, and every plate I've chosen has rivaled for best of its category for the food I've eaten in my life. The Nouveau Burger is delicious, and the fries are home made. The club sandwich is perhaps the best club sandwich I've ever had, served over a massive salad with those homemade fries on the side. The chocolate mousse is rich and decadent, and the macaroons with café will make your day. The portions are all huge, and the kitchen is extremely quick in whipping up the food. Most remarkable of all, though, is the friendly and customer oriented service. In a country where those in food service don't customarily receive tips, the staff at Le Nouveau Paris strive to please you as if their lives depended on it. If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I would.
