For a daytime glass of beer on a sweltering day, La Souris Verte provided the perfect pop-in for a refreshment in a cool, old atmosphere. We found this pub to be a relaxed and cozy place with decent service and average offerings perfectly satisfactory for a pub discovered while wandering the lesser-known side of the Montmartre.

This place has a strong Corsican vein running through it - so you can expect good charcuterie. I went by with a friend for a mojito and a planche of cheese and sliced sausicon and I was quite happy with my experience. Plus, my friend tried a mango mojito and it was really delicious (and not very expensive for Paris). I sampled their rhum arrangé, which is flavored with coffee beans, and I highly recommend giving it a shot :D One of the owners spoke to my friend and was really friendly - he wanted to know how long we had been in the neighborhood and he invited us to try on of his special rums on the house. Anyways he left me with a great impression. Overall the bar is really cool (the Cuban bills with Che on them displayed behind the counter were a nice touch) and its relaxed atmosphere is great for a drink with friends or a date. I will be going back!

My friends and I stopped in for some dinner not expecting much and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, the service was superb (Naveen was so friendly, we loved chatting with him) and the drinks were delicious! When I return to Paris I will definitely be stopping by here again.

This is the perspective of an American tourist...
So I have to admit, I am comparing to all other restaurants in Europe and the US that I've been to (not just Paris). 

- Bar selection was good, service was mediocre.. The bartender seemed hurried and bothered with requests... Pretty normal if you're tourist I suppose 
- High marks to the chef... Food was great (ordered tartar Corsican and salmon carpaccio... Loved it) 
- Waiter was friendly, but aloof and seemed distracted... Yes it was busy, but it was as if he had amnesia or was drunk.. Not sure which actually? 
- limited seating inside and out but adequate if you're they're before 830 
- was about 85 F inside when it was 69 outside (but everyone wears coats in Paris in the middle of the summer) so a great place if you're cold natured 
- all in all, not a bad place at all... But largely best at catering for locals. Those looking for a place that embraces tourists (without ripping you off) are best to try another place

I've rarely had such an incredible meal with such delightful, attentive service. The wine, our meals (beef, veal, risotto with prawns) and desserts (tiramisu, chocolate fondant, and gourmand, basically a sampler of all) were amazing. The best thing about the meal was our wonderful server- he made the meal the best in Paris by offering us a champagne toast, a whiskey tasting and generally being kind and so friendly. Couldn't recommend more highly!
